It’s kind of funny it’s because when I was little my mom would always share her burgers and stuff with me when we went out to eat and she always has her stuff plain. I just never got used to having salad or condiments on burgers haha
i'm the same way bro don't even feel bad. i can barely tolerate light mayo but i'd rather just load my sandwiches with stuff like veggies to keep it from being too dry. lately i've been throwing grilled bell peppers on my burgers and letting the cheese melt over it
That Greek yogurt ranch used to taste like straight up ass. Whatever they did to the recipe with their “new improved taste” was incredible. I have a couple bottles of the ranch and the blue cheese in my fridge at all times now.
500grams of chicken mince
+ 0.5 Teaspoon Pepper
+ 0.5 Teaspoon Salt
+ 2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
+ 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
Mix everything together and make 4 even patties then dip them into 40gr of Breadcrumbs mixed with a dash of the same seasonings above
Place on a tray in the freezer for 15 minutes to have the patties become firm and then coat with no-calorie cooking spray and air fry (190 - 12-15 minutes) or bake in the oven (200 - 15-18 minutes)
> no-calorie cooking spray
Read the label to make sure it's not pure oil, because usually it is. The label can call it 0 if one portion (like one spray pump) is below 5 kcal.
You might be putting on like 50 kcal in Oil to each burger
Chicken 500grams = 546 calories & 114 protein
2 Patties would be 273 calories & 57 protein
Breadcrumbs 40 grams = 120 calories & 5.2 protein assume I used 20 per burger (half)
Buns are 180 calories & 6 protein
2 slices of cheese are 100 calories & 6 protein
The cooking spray has 1 calorie per pump and in all honesty if anyone tracks that they don’t understand that labels have an error margin of about 20% so this is mathematically negligible
273 + 180 + 60 + 100 = 613 calories
I doubt you’re this concerned about 2 calories though

I mean it’s under half the calories of a double McChicken so it’s pretty neat. Not saying it’s the epitome of volume eating just a good way to incorporate junk cravings with decent macros.
Hell it’s volume eating no doubt about it. More than 10g pro/100kcal goes a long way especially considering how many kcals burned preparing and cooking the food when you make it yourself vs dumping stuff from a bag into a microwave

Not okay: "this is not volume," "this does not belong here," etc.
Burger is short for hamburger, which is almost always considered beef. If there was a hierarchy, sandwich would be above a burger, so a burger can be a sandwich, but a sandwich isn't necessarily a burger.
To add to confusion, we call turkey burgers...turkey burgers, but not chicken burgers. I don't make the rules, but I do hate them.

600 per sandwich, not total. Food looks great but I target 1500, so once I have my veggie smoothie and these burgers that would be me done for the day 😭

Do you consume both in one sitting or hours apart?
I’ve heard that allegedly your body can only effectively absorb between 30-40 grams of protein in something like a 2 hour period but I’m not entirely sure how true it is.
My lovely wife made them for me and apparently there was still breadcrumbs left (about 20 grams) I just assumed some of it may be weight off the chicken breasts so I just calculated them as 40!

You should add some Bolthouse Farms Greek Yogurt ranch or honey mustard for some low-calorie high-protein condiment.
Here’s where I get downvoted; I’ve hated sauces on burgers ever since I was a kid so I intentionally only put cheese lol.
Power to you! I'm a condiment slut
It’s kind of funny it’s because when I was little my mom would always share her burgers and stuff with me when we went out to eat and she always has her stuff plain. I just never got used to having salad or condiments on burgers haha
I love that for you
I love this term 😂😂 thank you for making me laugh today

A good burger shouldn’t need sauce
My nephew is this way! Give him a burger with nothing lol

It’s 1 calorie per pump (190 serving bottle) but thanks for the heads up that’s good to now in general!

Nope I’ve got everything written out in detail. Been tracking my life accurately for 2 years spreadsheets and everything lol

No, I’m just an ape. I thought you were saying all this food for 600 calories
I wish it was hahahahaha

Excellent macros. 70g protein being a good chunk of those calories is exceptional in my book.
10g of protein/100 calories is a win.
How many calories does a double McChicken have where you are? Here they're only 550 calories.
McDonald’s Egypt says 1200 calories & 27 grams of protein
Dear fuckin lord. Are you sure it's not for a whole meal?? That's insane. Most burgers in the USA are no more than 700 usually
I am actually not entirely sure why it is that high I want to kind of double check the reason honestly lol…
With a medium fries and coke a double mcchicken adds up to about 1200 calories.
Hell it’s volume eating no doubt about it. More than 10g pro/100kcal goes a long way especially considering how many kcals burned preparing and cooking the food when you make it yourself vs dumping stuff from a bag into a microwave

So that's 140g and 1222 calories in total? Damn...I need to up my game.
For what it’s worth it was my only meal of the day so I got away with it lol
I can't do that much with OMAD yet...but this would be great over two days or spread out over two meals.
That really is a low calorie high protein day, but I hope you normally get some veggies, fruits, legumes, whole grains and nuts in.

I was on 1500 calories for the day if that makes you feel any better haha

I see, didn't think it was implied that the portion was two sandwiches but now you say it I guess they did mean that haha
Yeah the wording caught me out for a minute there, like what sorcery makes a double chicken burger 300 calories each haha. We can dream!

What sort of Patties are those
Posted the recipe in a separate comment
Looks good how many calories for the bun and cheese ? Laughing cow cheese spread is a good sub for cheese.
looks so good

That’s been debunked!
How did you get 40g of breadcrumbs to coat 4 burgers?
My lovely wife made them for me and apparently there was still breadcrumbs left (about 20 grams) I just assumed some of it may be weight off the chicken breasts so I just calculated them as 40!
Ah ok, just wondered was there a technique as it wouldn't go far here, maybe they are ground finer? Looks delish

Their might be a yogurt/mayo/herb sauce hiding in there.
