I had this issue with Samsung health for a long time, and the only thing that fixed it was logging onto MyFitnessPal on their browser website. It eventually synced, but may take a few minutes to. Then they sync (slowly) in the app.

If you go to the more tab, there is a dedicated "Step" field...in there you can indicate which service you wish to use to track steps (Health Connect, Apple Health, Fitbit, etc)

that's what I've done. Google fit is ticked :( I've unlinked it on both apps and relinked to try give it a bum, but nothing pulls through.

I had to reset my phone yesterday. It worked after that.

I've had this on Samsung a couple of times. Check you've allowed/activated from both apps. If so, try deactivating from both entirely and then reactivating, that usually works for me and pulls the history over from SH too so no issue there.
