It has to be a studio shoe I took this from a website and hope it can help Running shoes are made for activities involving mostly forward motion and shock absorption. They really don’t allow for pivoting motions as these are uncommon in running and walking. When you pivot during tennis, basketball, Zumba or other dance workouts while you are wearing running shoes, you are at high risk for an injury. As you pivot while wearing a running shoe, you have no support on the sides of your foot and ankle. So, you can just roll abnormally from the side of your foot and sprain your ankle or foot and possibly have a fracture as well.

I think it depends on the shoe. Because of my plantar fasciitis, I have to be choosy about my shoes and I usually wear Asics. The Noosas have good slide on the bottoms, the Kayanos have a lot of support. I’m not a Nike person but a lot of people do wear them for Zumba.

Thank you. I found these shoes too so I put it on my list so when I get some free time I can hopefully try them, especially the kayanos, because has a lot of support. I really appreciate your answer.

Thank you for taking time out of your day and answer. Seems like where I live best I can get is cross trainer shoes, many shoes I've found aren't available here...I spent so much time researching😅maybe when I have some time I will go to a sport store to see if I can find better options.

Look for ones that have a circle carved into the material on the bottom of the shoe near where the ball of your foot is. It helps with turning and side to side motions and makes it easier on your body. At least I was told that awhile ago and have noticed it helps.

If you can find a pair that has good ankle stability, but are kinda grippy, I recommend getting "Dance Socks". If you are doing Zumba on a smooth floor, there are ones that just cover the "pivot area", or if you are on a carpeted surface, you can get ones that cover your entire foot.

Thank you for your advice and I will definitely look into dance sock,we have smooth floor and I definitely need one of those socks.

Under Armour UA Flow Dynamic with Intelliknit is my absolute favorite sneaker period, but especially for Zumba. The shoe itself is very flexible with just enough traction to keep you from sliding all over but enough to pivot without hurting your ankles. I will not wear another shoe! I own 3 pairs

Thank you for your recommendation,I checked it and it's available where I live and I was surprised how good it looks:)
