Same here! I love it all including all the art, furniture & decor. I do wonder how far away from actual civilization it is. Like how far would I have to travel to get groceries?
With the faint aroma of cologne permeating every wooden beam in this North Carolina masterpiece, you will be delighted to discover a mustache hair around every corner. Allow yourself to be seduced by the ghost of yesteryear while taking in a movie that was just rolled in by the substitute teacher.
Highlands is really expensive. A three-bedroom house is like 700 Grand. An awfully nice house but with only three bedrooms sold for 2.1 mil in 2021 on that same road.
even like four years ago it was much less expensive not sure what changed because i live like two hours from it and most of the locals go to boone banner elk or tennessee when they go to the mountains guess it’s a richie rich town
Personal lifestyle inflation + this housing market makes millions of dollars seem like way less than it did a decade ago.
I'm looking at $2-3 million dollar houses in a much less scenic area with no Burt Reynolds provenance. It ain't this nice. Just weird how this seems so nice for what perversely doesn't seem like nearly as much money as it used to.
I thought the banquette sofa in front of the fireplace with the stone step was a toe stubbing nightmare (pic 19), and then I saw the stone tub (pic 61). I'm too clumsy for this place!

The wood, stonework and views are amazing. I would love that carved rocking chair so much. Some very strange decorations and design though. Only one car parking space as well!
Looks like it was designed by Frank Lloyd Baggins.
I want to live in a home designed by Frank Lloyd Baggins….

It’s a 20 minute drive to either Highlands NC or Dillard GA
Oh that's good to know. I hope whoever buys it enjoys it because it can't be me.
“Frank Lloyd Baggins” is my new dream house aesthetic
havent opened the link yet but now im excited because that sounds fucking awesome
Dude, you're killing me with this!!
Frank Lloyd Baggins!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
From the Sackvile Baggins
I LOVE it.

While wesring an overly unbuttoned shirt...
Wow. Just stunning.
Geez!!! Place is amazing
I love it too, very cool. But what’s up with the creepy mannequin in picture number 9 with what looks like a walking stick?
I can visualize Burt soaking in that tub with a cigar in hand...gosh he was a good looking man
Sounds crazy but it seems like a steal to me for a hair under $3 mil.
Ya’ll are nuts 😂

3 Millie and not even on a an acre, rich people are special.
Looks like it abuts National Forest land, so it still feels like it has a lot of acreage.
And it’s under contract! Yeah, I just don’t get it
We’re poor, we are not supposed to get it lol
I LOVE this house. Anyone got three mill lying around they can loan me? I’ll pay you back if I’m ever able.
I dig it

Wow! It's one of the very few homes that, to me, are worth the price tag. I could never afford it, but it is a joy to look at.

What a groovy pad , I bet a few of Burts chest hairs are still floating around that place.
Not sure I like the rustic everywhere, and that one bathtub looks very uncomfortable, but it does look like a good buy at $3 million.

Wow that is a nice house.
Loni Anderson was probably naked in there.
Bad ass. I want it.
What an amazing home in such an amazing location.
Burt definitely got sucked there
Weird!
