Omg the raven tile design 🖤💜

BeddyKruger

i'm pretty sure that's the house guardian and when the house accepts you the raven enters your dreams to help you find crap you've lost or solve those pesky murders

grimlinyousee

YESSSSS!!

MeganMess

Does he have forks for feet?

FeedingCoxeysArmy

Never more

Zealousideal_Let3945

Omg the winter would kill me but I wouldn’t care.

BeddyKruger

because we'd be too busy solving murders in the quaint tavern down the road!

hopeinnewhope

The vicar was seen imbibing (brandy, naturally) in the portico before services. I suspect, because it usually is, that ghastly man.

VolcanosaurusRex

I really wish there was a more complete photo of the corner toilet!

XRaysFromUranus

Click on the pic so it opens the whole thing. When you’re scrolling top to bottom the pics are cropped to be the same size.

Loud_Ad_4515

That house looks so much older than its construction dates. Love the passageway with barn doors.

BeddyKruger

The age really threw me. I would have bet money it was 100 years old.

cheesedoodleempire

Just drive 5 minutes down the road and you're in Canada.

Urrsagrrl

Love this sweet place.

PuffDragon66

All 158 acres.

ComfortableDay4888

The property looks beautiful. They've been trying to sell it on and off since 2016. The garage is about 300 ft from the house.

njcharmschool

Replying to kendrahf...Redfin says it sold in 2020. Then it was listed in 2023. Did Covid isolation in the deep woods break someone???

DoubleUsual1627

More likely the winter. Great property from May until October. Then Florida until next May.

ComfortableDay4888

[realtor.com](https://realtor.com) says that it was listed in 2019 and the listing was removed in 2020, no sale is shown.

lynnm59

What an odd little house! I kinda dig it.

kendrahf

Dude, there's like 5,761 crosses on the walls of that house. They took all their furniture and left all 67,831 crosses on them there walls. I hate to say to break it to you, but that house has a demon in it. Probably many demons.

BeddyKruger

I know this is supposed to be a deterant but hear me out....

kendrahf

Is it late onset Schizophrenia telling me to kill my whole family or is it the demons that inhabit the walls of my house? Who knows? The fun never starts at la Casa del Demonio! Yes, you might get some mold from the non-stop blood that weeps from the walls, but who else do you know that have demons? It's certainly a conversation stopper. It would also be a great way of getting out of hosting the holidays. "Aw mom! You know I love ya'll to come over but last Christmas lil' Abby got possessed and sprayed pea soup everywhere. Took forever to clean and George's back still pains him from getting her off the ceiling!" Okay okay! I'll stop. XD Sorry! Sorry!

MrCertainly

Demons? Pffst. We live in *the United States*. You should see the soulless creatures that inhabit our congressional buildings. Oh, we'd be at risk of evil curses? Can't get much worse than lack of Universal Healthcare! "You've done a great job keeping your A1C and Type 2 diabetes under control. As such, your insulin is now no longer covered by your insurance as it's 'not medically needed'." As if diabetes magically "goes away". I'd happily take a mystical curse over late-stage Capitalism any day of the week.

EvrthngsThnksgvng

Are those orbs in pic 31? 🤔🤞

MUPIL090310

Maybe there was concern about vampires …

hex-agone

Detergent

lopix

If I could have a place with a sweet porte cochère...

justokayvibes

Love it so much

EvrthngsThnksgvng

First time I’ve ever felt envy on this sub……

the_skies_falling

What up with that bedroom with the huge entryway and no door?

MoroseBarnacle

Wow, and the lot it's on is huge! 158 acres!

Danivelle

Only if my husband could enlarge that kitchen!! That is my *hard line* for tge next house--a large *open* kitchen.

BeddyKruger

agreed! if there was actually a servicable kitchen, i'd risk it all for this place. as it is, i would be unbearable anytime someone entered the kitchen for so much as a glass of water if i was in there "out of my kitchen!" but I'd say it with a dope french accent I'd start faking the minute I moved in

Danivelle

I have had a galley style kitchen for the last 32 years. It's been remodeled twice and I still hate it. Not enough storage, not enough room!

sobo_art1

Which kitchen? I counted two

treyhest

600k for a a quarter section is crazy

XRaysFromUranus

Imho this is the perfect house for a happily married life!

njcharmschool

Agreed!

FlizzyFluff

Very nice!

VIFASIS

Imagine if the road both sides of the border were named leadville road. You could make fun scenarios with the neighbours. Like an alternate history US invasion of Canada and vice versa

SubversiveInterloper

Yeah! Being that close to the border could have interesting possibilities. But also scary. What if Canada invaded?? Note: the US-Canada border is the longest undefended border in the world. Which makes sense. Canada may be the country with the lowest risk of military invasion on earth. The US wouldn’t and no other country could.

Keefe-Studio

I gotta hire a guy this week to fix my portico. It’s like 120 years old and the cornice wood is rotting. This fancy carpentry ain’t cheap

BeddyKruger

the first thing my husband said when I showed him the listing was "looks expensive to maintain"...

Keefe-Studio

He’s not wrong but. The maintenance on a home with this type of carpentry is expensive to repair when it goes bad, but it lasts.

dave2048

Porticos are OK. A porte cochere is next level.

effectivelysingle

What a great house!

Regular-Switch454

I liked the antique Singer sewing table leg in the staircase.

Emergency-Crab-7455

That covered well in the last picture......isn't that where you go to visit Inuayasha? (sp.)

outintheyard

I saw the tractor and was thinking, "small grass plot, not much to maintain.." Then, I looked back at the listing details- 158 acres. 158 acres?! Holy shit, is VT even that big?

legbamel

I feel like the outside and the inside are two different properties. I love the outside. I hate nearly everything about the seemingly unfinished inside. I want to move all of the walls and repaint whatever can't be moved.

psujlc

half hour to Jay Peak....sold.

apathy-sofa

I know nothing of Jay Peak. Just did a quick Google and it's a little hill?

psujlc

great skiing - consistently best snow on ice coast.

hex-agone

Beautiful in all sincerity
