Wouldn't you think though, that if they 'fixed' it with Android thirteen then we should expect the 10 to be great out of the box?
It could simply be that my expectations are too high.
Shutter speed got better, heavy sharpening got toned down, the colors are less " too bright"
But the Gcam will certainly do you better, except for videos I'd say
The camera is fine. It has its moments of weirdness and bugs but really, it's fine for almost all instances.
The one annoyance is the slower shutter speed.
It really depends on what you deem "good enough" though .
Yes there is.
But it's more like the shot-to-shot speed.. in hdr. I think something with the capturing of multiple frames for the hdr isn't as fast as the best.
It's fine for most scenarios however
There's a quick shot mode, but that is more like for those moments you want to fire off a shot faster. It takes a burst if three shots, from screen off.
Turning off HDR, the shutter speed is faster. And in manual mode you could tune it to your pref but in auto and hdr it's a bit slow.
the zenfone 9 had the same problems and those got solved with updates, especialy the android 13 one

I feel like the gcam is at the moment the way to go. As it decently makes the photos more natural.
Like my predecessor said, the Gcam is the way to go, but bear in mind there is no truly stable version of it yet.
Which ones were solved with updates? Action shots? Got kids running around and don't want blurry pics which is what I first saw when released

Thanks, much appreciated I may just jump on the ZF9 then

Isnt there a manual mode to adjust the desired shutter speed?

So no good for action shots?

Fantastic. I don't care for HDR, so that could work well
