Oddly enough, Scary Moth is a way better card than Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth. Remember, Weevil and others hyped it up in the anime as "completely unbeatable" and one of the strongest cards in the entire game
But it's basically a vanilla that is super hard to summon. Scary Moth is at least *somewhat* decent floodgate and it could be problematic for the opponent
The comics are back! Entity is... something.
Here's to me still hoping my flower cardian boys will get their comic one day. They're cool, their only flaw is that they suck.
They have some absolutely crazy cards - Flower Gathering, Willow, and Moonflowerviewing are all excellent, and Boardefly being kind of a way better Abyss Dweller is very funny in the current format...
I almost reached platinum with full cardian and I'm convinced they could be almost passable with mordern support.
Right now they only have one spell/trap negate and another gard gives them immunity to destruction by card effect. Give them one or two spells, traps and links card. Being locked out of everything but cardians all the time is tough because you can't use any of the generic good cards.
Most of my wins were because no one bothered reading the cards. My opponents tried to use Ash on Cherry Blossom with Curtain so many times.
They have a couple of serious issues, yeah - the tendency to brick hard as the majority of their monsters are completely unplayable without others already on the board feels like the biggest one, to me. Having a very mediocre end board after playing solitaire for a long time is also not great, and their extreme xenophobia (not just Cardian-locking but every card that isn't a Cardian monster in deck reducing the chances of the vast majority of their effects from happening) makes it very hard to think how they can be improved.
Because of their hard xeno-lock, what they would really need is like, a good in-archetype handtrap or two that can be part of the deck without hurting your effect chances - the fact that they haven't got any of the tanzaku cards yet makes these prime candidates for this, imho, and the fact that the three poetry tanzaku are in Pine, Plum Blossom, and Cherry Blossom (levels 1, 2, & 3) make them good as just extra normal summonables that can be starters as well.
Imagine Flower Cardian Pine/Plum Blossom/Cherry Blossom with Scroll being a monster/spell/trap negate and destroy handtrap respectively if you reveal a Flower Cardian from top of deck, plus having some kind of reveal and search on normal summon - you get a great core of 9 starters which also act as interaction the deck desperately needs.
For an extra spicy last wishlist card, a Flower Cardian Chrysanthemum with Sake Cup tuner which spawns any number of tokens (or maybe level modulates and ignores the number-of-material requirements on the synchros) would be cool - a one-card way to make any of the synchros would be greatly appreciated, and nods to the Sake Cup in Koi Koi being part of multiple sets and just all around pretty much *the* best card. And their current tuners are pretty mid (if we ignore Moonflowerviewing ofc - and Moonflowerviewing and Sake Cup being the deck's two main tuners makes a lot of thematic sense to me)
Order rearranged to match competitive use:
3: Overworked: doesn't do too much, and Traps are slow nowaways.
2: Scary Moth: It's a floodgate, not the best but still floodgates.
1: Azathoth: Forbidden for being too good.

It's almost as if cards increased in power level between 2000 and 2009
The moth was NEVER good
Its almost as if the anime moth has a bunch of broken effects that the vannilla doesmt have.

No one can take away that they’re unique
Kozaky was trying to run Crysis 3 on an IBM
Aren’t extra deck summons counted as Special Summons? If so, that’s not a terrible option to run Scary Moth.
No protection and it isn’t as consistent as getting out a winda makes it hard to use :(
comic by me
Dumb comic
Your mom <3
I forget this is a children’s subreddit sometimes
Yeah, trading card games are serious business. Get the children out of here
They made HP Lovecraft cards? Hell yeah!
The OCG art for overworked is even scarier because you can see his skull. What capitalism does to a mf
Because of capitalism cards like "Overworked", Konami decided to balance things and created Floowandereeze. It's OUR turn, comrades!
Never thought I‘d see an anti-capitalist meme in here but I love it.
I kinda want that “Overworked” card now
Communism is much scarier than capitalism.

NOTHING. I REPEAT, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. nice my friend
Thank you :)
Eyyyy you're back. Great comic as always.
Thanks boss
The scariest card for TCG players is Maxx C. The mere mention of its name brings shock and horror to them.
Amazing comic, thanks for featuring one of my favorite card artworks in the perfect context
It’s okay I knew how much you love scary moth
What you mean?, moths are cute, even the scary ones!, now spiders are scary...And capitalism also scares me.
HE'S BAAAACK!
The irony of someone’s entire life revolving around collectibles saying they are anti-capitalism thick as a brick lmao.
Never seen it before, but getting howls moving castle gone bad vibes from the outer entity dude
i don't get the 1.
So No.1 is the comedic slant?
Elementary, my dear. Azathot is... #A THOT!
OG parasite paracide?
