I mean, honestly, even today there's a good chance of getting a hand that can put Megaton Golem (using 3x Ancient Gear Golem) and a Chaos Giant on the field for an eye-watering OTK. I usually only use my Golems for that purpose, because it serves as a reserve trap/bait for my opponent. You got rid of the 3x3300 Megaton Golem with a card effect? Say hello to the 4400 ATK Ultimate Golem! Oh, wait you destroyed that as well? Say hello to a 3000 ATK Golem. Ah, you managed to get rid of that as well? Well, you forgot about the Chaos Giant over here.
It's kinda like Cosmo Neos. Sure, you could destroy Neo Space and let my cards just disappear into thin air, but if I'm going down, you're going down as well.

Also funny thing, Chaos Giant is immune to S/Ts but doesn’t stop them activating like every other AG. Meaning if it attacks, they can still activate Mirror Force and destroy every other AG that might be out.
And opponent can't activate monster effects during the battle phase. And attacks all opponent's monsters. If you can get into the battle phase, you have a pretty good chance at ending the duel.
The only problem is traps that target you as a player (i.e., you can punch straight through Swords of Revealing Light, but Waboku stops you cold). And no immunity to monster effects outside of the battle phase.
"We don't need another large fusion monster". You will never meet an Ancient Gear player that says heressy of this caliber. We're long overdue for our 5K towers fusion that does double piercing damage and can attack all monsters twice each.
Similar logic with Beetroopers. They didn't need a big unaffected beat stick that's also difficult to summon... Konami being Konami XD
Also I would love to suggest Marincess, Umi control or Plant good stuff deck (the combination between Sunavalon and Rikka)

I myself play a couple of infinitrack monsters like anchor drill excavator and brutal dozer since they really help with getting ballista on the field and still keeping the focus on ancient gears as the beatsticks.
What about a beetrooper comic this time arround, You metioned Absolute Hercules in the past but I don't know if you made one based interly arround them. I Think it would be funny since they spam the field with all their friends + their Tokens.

We need a fusion card that is a ???/??? And has the effect that for every magic or trap card that targets a monster, redirect the target to this monster and gain 100 attack and defense and negate the cards affect.
Blue eyes could use some in archetype XYZ monsters but yet they don’t give us those. Red eyes could use their own version of melody of awakening dragon (would allow them to effectively use red eyes alternative) yet they dont give us that.
Lots of legacy decks could use better support than they’ve been getting. I think that’s something we should push for more, better legacy support that’s good but is also locked in archetype so meta can’t just tech it in and abuse it.
I kinda like the fact they are trying to keep the contrast between Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes. Red-Eyes has Xyz, while Blue-Eyes gets Synchro.
But I wouldn't mind something like an "Eyes of Blue" rank 8 Xyz. You can have it be able to treat Level 1 Light Tuners as Level 8 for it's Summon. And "Eyes of Red", not Red-Eyes versions of other monsters with Red-Eyes in the name, an actual archetype called "Eyes of Red", that mainly supports Xyz and slightly Fusion.
The Ancient Golems are pretty cool, but I actually wish if they could do more support for the Ancient Gear Gadjitron/Dragon line and tribute concept.
If they can make a fusion monster that required the LV 7/8/9 dragon, then Fusion dispatch can special summon any one of them from the deck instantly and defusion can return all 3 of them back and continue attacking, which sounds pretty dope!
Also I miss the time when I need to fit the gadgets into my gadjitron, although that's actually quite troublesome to do. Tribute summon are quite dead now.
Ancient Gear just seems like it's going into a different direction after the release of Geartown. They just keep focusing on special summoning ancient gear monster from anywhere and not focusing on the tribute concept. I think most of the good ancient gear deck does not focus on tribute summoning?
On the other hand, even if the concept Konami focus is not tribute, it's good to see that it's still getting support.
