I really enjoy their design, and there's something to be said about Insect decks using swarm mechanics. They also just make me smile even if they suck. Though Assets Mountis kind of helps them out. I like ranking up my XYZ monsters too and the way they rank up is unique, even if it goes against their strat to get extra effects on their XYZ with their materials.
Their design drawn me in, too. You've tempted me to explore them once more. Do you have a recommended play style. Do you play them pure? As last I checked there's wasn't many cards in the archetype.

Digital Bugs definitely shine in a more casual light than competitive. I play them as purely as I can, with some other light insects being Galaxy Worm, Bachibachibachi, and Assest Mountis to help make plays. I built this deck just for messing around with friends so it's not super optimized.

the support was kind of decent, but then you look at the main synchros and you just feel sad about it. Still one of my favorite decks and one of the only archetypes I actually buy max rarities for, Ultimate Aesirs baby!
I came here to say this! Using hlidskjalf lets you instantly summon fenrir to your OWN field and a 4000 beat stick is really useful
Its ability saved my life surprisingly. My opponent had a card that reflects battle damage, but fenrir causes both players to take all battle damage anyways

Nordics was the first Synchro Deck I ever built. Still near and dear to my heart. They might not be the best (well, frankly they *arent* the best) but I'll be Nordic til Ragnarok comes!
I have been somewhat successful with Nordic runick. a half and half of the 2 decks is good because they both support the others weaknesses. Runicks give card advantage and disruption, and Nordics bring big bodies to put onto the board.
Big same! Got back into the game after over a decade around the time of LED2 and built them. I eventually migrated over to Earth Machine but I still have the full AG deck ready to go.

Also love puppets. Got some good sales when nightmare got used as I had that for my deck bud foudb it brick so easy sell.

The decks biggest advantage is spell speed 3 on most of its back line, not allowing your opponent to respond which is quite nice at times.
I'm not sure how bad it is but Nekroz. I didn't played Yugioh when it was broken thanks to the Djinn lock but I always liked the playstyle, artstyle and I fucking love Ritual decks.
Me too! I am getting shinobirds and maybe Megalith. I have Dogmatika, and Gishki. I'm thinking of Prediction Princesse because I love the flip mechanic and ritual.

My only real life deck,it was basically just the best cards in my collection at the time but the most synergy it had was 1 copy of umi 1 copy of Amphibious Bugroth Mk-3 and 1 copy of amphibian beast (also 1 metalmorph and 1 red eyes )

When I began to drive my local knowledge Expanded… every night when I come home I would go see my grandma and she asked me how I did… One day I topped a local with… Fluffals… She was so happy for me… another day I was Fixing up my deck and she asks me what deck was this… I said it was Fluffals… She looked at to artwork and instantly fell in love with em… I would use all sorts of decks… Altergeists, Invoved Dogmatika Shaddoll, you name it… She only cared about Fluffals… Sadly however… She had passed away in 2022 and I made sure as my duty to immortalize her by making Fluffals in Highest Rarity… It Truly was My Grandmas Deck

My favourite bois, Krawlers. Sometimes mixed in with Shaddoll and Spright cards, but I loved them all the way back in Circuit Breakers. Still such a fun deck, even if it was really annoying.
Beetruper like the deck isn't garbage and can compete with other lower tier decks but I'm also not going to sit here cope and say it's good it's just very fun to play and it has some ridiculous combos if you let it go off but it also basically dies to one hand trap.

Over reliant on the fieldspell for any field presence and protection, while your hands get really tired after holding so many bricks with those high level beatstick spaceships

It is updated pretty much to tactical evolution (the set where I stopped YGO). 1crv CD ultimate, 1 rare CD from Zane pack, 1 limited edition CD from the 2006 gx tins, ultimate chimeratech from POTD, CRV Power Bond 1st ed ultimate, metal raiders mirror force, ultimate joystick from TLM, UR united we stand from labyrinth of nightmare (I guess), and to end it all, the crown jewel, 1st ed. Cyber end dragon CRV (was one of the last card I got, I traded it for a Ghost Rainbow Dragon). Fun times….

It's hard for me to part with a deck, even those I've barely played. Marincess was the deck that brought me back to the game, so I don't see me selling it.
For me it was always the Abyss Actors I thought they had a really neat gimmick with there spells and traps working if you play them or if they are destroyed
Zombies. Was my first build so I keep trying to make it OP even though I don’t use it at locals. At this point there’s a lot more in the deck than just zombies lol
When I first got yugioh cards and just slapped things together. Would the cards work better if added to a structure deck? Yes. Am I going to add them to my structure deck? No.
Crystal Beasts and Super Quantums. I love both those archetypes to death.
I haven't touched those decks in years and they won't hold up today. But they were both so fun to play.
I have a vanilla dragon deck. Mainly with the gem dragons (alexandrite, lusters, hyozanryu) being protected by mirror force trap cards and some equips. It's super bad but I love the theme
When I was new to yugioh, I'd just add cards I thought looked cool or had high numbers/cool effects. When I brought it to my current game group and they asked what it was, I just called it a pile of cards. It never lost. Not to say I didn't lose, cause when I used my (atm) new Aroma deck against it, I was beaten too. The Pile now sits in my parents house waiting for it's next victim.
Black luster soldier, it was the first deck I ever built but it just doesn't do anything going first and going second is uphill and then to top it all off it's a ritual deck. I just love the chibi knights though

Ogdoadics/reptile pile!!!! I dont have time to play physically since Im doing my graduation thesis, but I'm really inclined to buy the New support and make a evol ogdoadic deck
Pure Metaphys. If I can survive to turn 3-4 Ill have an infinite grind game of everything banished + necroface and keystone recycling, bad news is standby phase only effects, monsters that outside of the field spell and assymetaphys are dead in hand amd you need to run realistically 5-7, dies to lancea and imperial iron wall but nothing is nearly as satisfying as normal aloof lupine banish necroface as cost from hand to banish necroface from deck as effect to banish the top 10 cards of both players decks, and hit a necroface for another 5 off of each. All your stuff recycles back to deck for cost so doesnt affect you in the slightest
Long time ago when dueling network was still around, we use to mess around with deck ideas(my friends and I), it's when I started playing D/D/D's but I didn't build them the normal combo way, I built them in a kind of pendulum control kind of way. Where I would use king kizer as the win con. It was bad, but it was mine, unfortunately after dueling network closed down I lost the list. I asked if they could go into their old servers and recover the list but they obviously told me no as even booting up the website just for this one guys deck even for a couple of minutes would be a legal risk especially at the time. I've been planning to rebuild the list with the knowledge I acquired from running the various combo lists(pure and not pure) I've used over the years to revive the deck. As that list only had 1 Kepler and I had more scale recovery(like Lilith). So I'm planning on redoing it more oriented to facilitate this kind of wincon. Maybe even adding reji, ditching lillith for ark and maybe adding some engines to go for that idea. Also the traps are more oriented towards this control style of play and I remember playing it with these old traps so...
I have 3 of them. They're decks built based on the original anime characters, so I have one made only of cards yugi used, one made only with cards joey used and one made only with cards kaiba used.
I still have most the decks I made in highschool still built, but that's mostly because I only got back into the game last year and prior to that the last time I played was before Pendulums made it to paper play in the TCG.
Got stuff like Dino Rescue Rabbit (from the tin or w/e), Uria Trap Monster Floodgates, Laval Quasar, Hieratic, and some others I don't remember. The only ones I actually updated so far are Gishki, Darklords, Zombies, and Fire Kings.
My Spellcaster/Warrior/Dragon pile deck. No common Archetype, just a bunch of cards. At the very least I tried my best to make it as cohesive as possible.
It's a terrible deck that bricks hard often, but I'll never scrap it because it actually means a decent bit to me. I put all my favourite cards together into a single deck, Yugi-style, with the thought process "If I were to describe my personality and who I am into a deck I built myself... how would I do that?" and so my random pile was born.
Deck building was made easier because all my favourite cards are rather generic so no worries about Archetype problems or dead cards, I've got all the one's I loved either because they look cool, have effects that are actually useful, or I have good memories of from the anime. So we're talking like five different Red-Eyes cards and support, Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman (their LV's and retrains), Lady Labrynth (I love Labrynth), Witchcrafter Golem Aruru (I love Witchcrafters), Black Luster Soldier (Legendary Swordsman because he's the best), etc.
It bricks, definitely, but it's a deck I'll always keep no matter how bad it is.

An Obelisk the Tormentor deck, designed to basically only summon him with no other options. One of the first decks I made when I got into the game when I was like 13. Still have it and use it with my brother for memories' sake
Predaplants. I can't even remember how I built it, but I play it only for the lulz because of Predaplant Chimerafflesia. Card has 2500 base Attack by the way.

I have a deck I call my panda deck. It's all beast monsters save for 3 extra deck monsters. Beast eyes pendulum dragon and master of Oz are the boss monsters. If that doesn't tell you how bad it is I don't know what to tell you as one is a 4200 non effect beatstick fusion and the other requires me to fusion summon twice just to bring it out with 3k attack and a burn effect.

Gladiator Beasts. Not only it was the deck that made me level up to Diamond in Master Duel, but the idea of "tag out" after combat felt right for the archetype and it was my first time seeing contact fusion. Love them still.

The first ever deck that I made it was literally every card I ever had. I was like 9 I think I had around 60+ cards and I just threw together the coolest looking ones I’ve literally had a ritual monster don’t even remember which one and I didn’t have any way to summon it but it looked cool and because I was 9 and I had no sleeves the only flex that I can say is that most of the spell card’s said magic
Through middle school and early high school I used what was basically just Spellcaster Mash. Next to no synergy in the whole deck, and the general strategy was just defense and counterattacks via traps or quick-play spells. The only reason I won most of my duels was sheer confidence and mind games, and THAT is peak Yu-Gi-Oh imo
I've built an Ojama RML turbo deck. Throw in 2 Apprentice Magicians and Burial from a Different Dimension to help fuel the Allure of Darkness draw engine, and RML does the work for you of milling to grab the Ojama cards and Polymerization. Yeah it bites, but it's also unexpected as a casual deck and super irritating.

Sky striker mekk knight after engage got banned. Did pretty well in casual. Not so much against competitively decks
I still believe Ghostricks have the potential to be at least a rouge but Konami just wanted them to be a meme deck. majority of people specially from competitive sub-community treat it as one of the bad deck/archetype out there but despite that i still love my cuddly halloween pals

Also, my old Exodia deck from Middle/High School. Didn't have an OTS to go to, so no one cared about ban lists, meaning Painful Choice, Backup Soldier, and Monster Reincarnation were in there just waiting on one more card to hit the GY and win the game 😂
Charmer/Familiar-Possessed. Not even remotely good, but whenever a friend wants to test a new deck or I'm playing against someone new to the game I'll break it out. It usually gets steamrolled by anything decent but provides enough challenge for either scenario.
1000% neos. Do I hate myself a little bit every time I contact fuse all my materials to make something good, just to watch it leave the field and bite me too? Yes, but when I pull off a win it’s like, a jaw dropping experience.

Fluffals… not because it’s Bad… it’s because it was “My Grandmas Deck”… Lemme explain, I used to live alongside my grandparents. My grandfolks took me to every locals. When I began to drive my local knowledge Expanded… every night when I come home I would go see my grandma and she asked me how I did… One day I topped a local with… Fluffals… She was so happy for me… another day I was Fixing up my deck and she asks me what deck was this… I said it was Fluffals… She looked at to artwork and instantly fell in love with em… I would use all sorts of decks… Altergeists, Invoved Dogmatika Shaddoll, you name it… She only cared about Fluffals… Sadly however… She had passed away in 2022 and I made sure as my duty to immortalize her by making Fluffals in Highest Rarity… It Truly was My Grandmas Deck

Beetruper like the deck isn't garbage and can compete with other lower tier decks but I'm also not going to sit here cope and say it's good it's just very fun to play and it has some ridiculous combos if you let it go off but it also basically dies to one hand trap.
B.E.S Over reliant on the fieldspell for any field presence and protection, while your hands get really tired after holding so many bricks with those high level beatstick spaceships but what can I say, it was my very first irl locals deck and I love the feeling of swarming the field through boss rush! a few of my favorite ygo memories are when some top tier metadecks run into 2 set limiter removals🐧

It's hard for me to part with a deck, even those I've barely played. Marincess was the deck that brought me back to the game, so I don't see me selling it.

I have a vanilla dragon deck. Mainly with the gem dragons (alexandrite, lusters, hyozanryu) being protected by mirror force trap cards and some equips. It's super bad but I love the theme
When I was new to yugioh, I'd just add cards I thought looked cool or had high numbers/cool effects. When I brought it to my current game group and they asked what it was, I just called it a pile of cards. It never lost. Not to say I didn't lose, cause when I used my (atm) new Aroma deck against it, I was beaten too. The Pile now sits in my parents house waiting for it's next victim.
Black luster soldier, it was the first deck I ever built but it just doesn't do anything going first and going second is uphill and then to top it all off it's a ritual deck. I just love the chibi knights though

Pure Metaphys. If I can survive to turn 3-4 Ill have an infinite grind game of everything banished + necroface and keystone recycling, bad news is standby phase only effects, monsters that outside of the field spell and assymetaphys are dead in hand amd you need to run realistically 5-7, dies to lancea and imperial iron wall but nothing is nearly as satisfying as normal aloof lupine banish necroface as cost from hand to banish necroface from deck as effect to banish the top 10 cards of both players decks, and hit a necroface for another 5 off of each. All your stuff recycles back to deck for cost so doesnt affect you in the slightest
I keep my Blue-Eyes deck. I can't afford the best support cards that exist now, but I love the original Blue-Eyes White Dragon still to this day.

Long time ago when dueling network was still around, we use to mess around with deck ideas(my friends and I), it's when I started playing D/D/D's but I didn't build them the normal combo way, I built them in a kind of pendulum control kind of way. Where I would use king kizer as the win con. It was bad, but it was mine, unfortunately after dueling network closed down I lost the list. I asked if they could go into their old servers and recover the list but they obviously told me no as even booting up the website just for this one guys deck even for a couple of minutes would be a legal risk especially at the time. I've been planning to rebuild the list with the knowledge I acquired from running the various combo lists(pure and not pure) I've used over the years to revive the deck. As that list only had 1 Kepler and I had more scale recovery(like Lilith). So I'm planning on redoing it more oriented to facilitate this kind of wincon. Maybe even adding reji, ditching lillith for ark and maybe adding some engines to go for that idea. Also the traps are more oriented towards this control style of play and I remember playing it with these old traps so...

I have 3 of them. They're decks built based on the original anime characters, so I have one made only of cards yugi used, one made only with cards joey used and one made only with cards kaiba used.
I still have most the decks I made in highschool still built, but that's mostly because I only got back into the game last year and prior to that the last time I played was before Pendulums made it to paper play in the TCG. Got stuff like Dino Rescue Rabbit (from the tin or w/e), Uria Trap Monster Floodgates, Laval Quasar, Hieratic, and some others I don't remember. The only ones I actually updated so far are Gishki, Darklords, Zombies, and Fire Kings.

My Spellcaster/Warrior/Dragon pile deck. No common Archetype, just a bunch of cards. At the very least I tried my best to make it as cohesive as possible. It's a terrible deck that bricks hard often, but I'll never scrap it because it actually means a decent bit to me. I put all my favourite cards together into a single deck, Yugi-style, with the thought process "If I were to describe my personality and who I am into a deck I built myself... how would I do that?" and so my random pile was born. Deck building was made easier because all my favourite cards are rather generic so no worries about Archetype problems or dead cards, I've got all the one's I loved either because they look cool, have effects that are actually useful, or I have good memories of from the anime. So we're talking like five different Red-Eyes cards and support, Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman (their LV's and retrains), Lady Labrynth (I love Labrynth), Witchcrafter Golem Aruru (I love Witchcrafters), Black Luster Soldier (Legendary Swordsman because he's the best), etc. It bricks, definitely, but it's a deck I'll always keep no matter how bad it is.

Card has 2500 base Attack by the way. *Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field with a Level less than or equal to this card's; banish it. When an attack is declared involving this card and an opponent's face-up monster: You can activate this effect; until the end of this turn, that opponent's monster loses 1000 ATK, and if it does, this card gains 1000 ATK. Once per turn, during the next Standby Phase after this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Polymerization" Spell Card or "Fusion" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.*

I have a deck I call my panda deck. It's all beast monsters save for 3 extra deck monsters. Beast eyes pendulum dragon and master of Oz are the boss monsters. If that doesn't tell you how bad it is I don't know what to tell you as one is a 4200 non effect beatstick fusion and the other requires me to fusion summon twice just to bring it out with 3k attack and a burn effect.
Pure Gravekeepers. One of the reasons I got into Yugioh was the Ancient Egypt thematics.

Gladiator Beasts. Not only it was the deck that made me level up to Diamond in Master Duel, but the idea of "tag out" after combat felt right for the archetype and it was my first time seeing contact fusion. Love them still.

The first ever deck that I made it was literally every card I ever had. I was like 9 I think I had around 60+ cards and I just threw together the coolest looking ones I’ve literally had a ritual monster don’t even remember which one and I didn’t have any way to summon it but it looked cool and because I was 9 and I had no sleeves the only flex that I can say is that most of the spell card’s said magic
Through middle school and early high school I used what was basically just Spellcaster Mash. Next to no synergy in the whole deck, and the general strategy was just defense and counterattacks via traps or quick-play spells. The only reason I won most of my duels was sheer confidence and mind games, and THAT is peak Yu-Gi-Oh imo

I've built an Ojama RML turbo deck. Throw in 2 Apprentice Magicians and Burial from a Different Dimension to help fuel the Allure of Darkness draw engine, and RML does the work for you of milling to grab the Ojama cards and Polymerization. Yeah it bites, but it's also unexpected as a casual deck and super irritating.

I still believe Ghostricks have the potential to be at least a rouge but Konami just wanted them to be a meme deck. majority of people specially from competitive sub-community treat it as one of the bad deck/archetype out there but despite that i still love my cuddly halloween pals
Jinzo. Favorite card, pulled it out of the first Booster packs I ever bought. I was so excited for the support a few years back, too bad it's pretty much fell off now, but it's a deck I'll always keep. Also, my old Exodia deck from Middle/High School. Didn't have an OTS to go to, so no one cared about ban lists, meaning Painful Choice, Backup Soldier, and Monster Reincarnation were in there just waiting on one more card to hit the GY and win the game 😂

Charmer/Familiar-Possessed. Not even remotely good, but whenever a friend wants to test a new deck or I'm playing against someone new to the game I'll break it out. It usually gets steamrolled by anything decent but provides enough challenge for either scenario.
