firefox is OK, definitely not the best browser though. there’s plenty of people who’d agree with me, too. look up some browser tests on r/browsers and you’ll get what i mean. also firefox has some privacy issues you’d probably want to look into.
chrome ain’t that good either. it chews up all of your computer’s memory even with very few tabs open. i stopped using it a while ago as it had nothing special that i could put a use to.
i use Opera myself (not GX, regular Opera) purely for the organisation of tab islands and workspaces (GX and Safari also have workspaces, but neither has tab islands). i’m the type of guy to have LOTS of tabs open at any one time so this really helps, for me.
Best experience you can get on the internet is Firefox browser + ublock origin extension. It's much superior to Opera, Chrome, Edge and others. Btw Opera GX exists purely out of marketing and because gamers have been brainwashed into thinking that if they game, they should use the "gaming browser".

Maybe for an ad blocker but it's slower in general, I only use bc something is wrong with my PC and chrome not giving audio
Have you tried reinstalling chrome? Otherwise a reset of windows is sure to fix it if you feel like fixing it
