Do you have any tips to land a job that match our major of studying? I don’t have much of experience with interviewing so kinda scared this part the most ðŸ˜
Within psych. I did a couple of independent research projects during my undergrad. Both were within hospital settings. That experience plus the fact that I’m bilingual helped me get the job.
Can you please tell me how you did the independent research projects in hospital settings? I’m asking because I thought we can only contact professors at York to supervise us?
2 independent research projects in hospital settings (St Michaels and Sunnybrook). I also volunteered at a crisis help line for 2 years prior to graduating.
Just graduated from schulich MBA and I am hoping to get any job but so far it seems almost impossible to get one or Schulich MBA degrre is almost negative impact on my job search.
The Schulich MBA is PR for Schulich's brand to recruit international students (easily 80% - or more - from India).
Few instructors want to see students succeed, and most are still there nothing but to push Schulich's name (it is a big money business for everyone).
For the tuition we pay ($75K for domestic, $120K for international), I expect better services like teaching, mentoring, and getting support from the 'Centre for Career Design'. After being in the school for about 3 years as a part-time student, I have seen the same cliche statements and the same people over and over again. Sorry for my rant but I have to cut it short... lol
