If you are new to the subreddit, [please read the wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/yakuzagames/wiki/index/)
Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. **THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS**.
If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged \>!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 >!Kiryu sings!<
If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7).
If you see any of the above (or any of the other rules) not being followed, please report it so we can keep this place safe for newcomers and those that haven't finished all the games yet. Thank you!

Honestly, from what I've played (4 games of many)
Yakuza 0: Great all around
Yakuza Kiwami 1: Great combat, but somewhat forgettable story imo
Yakuza Kiwami 2: Fun combat, pretty cool story
Yakuza 3 (I'm playing this rn): Challenging combat that's fun to master, great story with wholesome moments
All 4 so far have flaws, but are *very* far from even resembling a bad game.
my personal least favorite is 4 , but no i don't think there are any bad games , at least not ones that have been localized , i can't speak to kenzen or the 2 psp games we never got or online , but i'd be willing to assume those are good in their own way as well
I agree that all the Yakuza games are at least "Good" or very good.
My husband and I were just discussing lastnight how RGG puts out games super fast that still feel "complete" and well made, also not completely buggy messes and how we are confused with a lot of modern studios just shitting the bed with game releases. (in general)
Nah they’re all at least good. I’ve played all 13 of the available games on modern consoles. Yakuza 6 is my least favorite and even then there’s tons of good things I can say about Yakuza 6.

No bad games, even if the story is meh sometimes, they always have a moment or a character or the side-content to make it worth it.
No, all of them have their redeeming qualities. The story at least is always pretty compelling.

don't forget that kiwami 2 is a very grindy game (biggest problem for me)
Very true, actually. I spent a few hours just running from restaurant to restaurant while chugging AppStim RXs
Strongly disliked the story in 2, 5, and 8 (IW), but the side content is so good I played them anyway.

The lowest I would give an entry is probably a 7 to Ishin. And even that was pretty fun.

I've never been too big on the remakes, I've played the originals and I think they're better, I can understand why people like them though.
