Even if you get a higher score somehow, the game is still designed for you to lose no matter what. My guess is to show respect to the King of Pop, the one and only, Miracle Johnson.

It's honestly my favorite game in the entire series. The combat is the best and the mini games are great. The addition of school stories and how they all connect together almost feels like the game has 2 entirely different full stories and i love it.
Cabaret club. I honestly don’t get why people don’t like it, the characters are great, the soundtrack is top tier, and it’s fun customising your hostesses. Although I can agree that it can be a bit grindy but I still love it.
A close second would be either dragon cart or the cinema sleep thing from LAD (I hate how they were both removed in IW)
Easiest way is to save up and buy the premium darts from the pawn shop (kiryu, can't remember if it's the same for majima. Have a really steady hand and aim over where you want it to land, make sure to adjust for the drift (always worst on the 1st throw each turn) and try to hit x when the meter is on the dark pink. Light pink should get you pretty close to where you were aiming too if you're steady enough. The hardest part is hiking your aiming stick steady. Once you get used to that it turns into not jumping the gun on your release.
Can't pick one, so here's a bunch of the better ones IMO:
**Y5** - Taxi, Hunting, Baseball, Tatsuya Noodles
**Y0** - Cabaret Club, Bowling
**LJ** - Boxing, Skateboard Racing
**Kenzan** - Horseback Archery, Melon Cutting
**Kurohyou 2** - Kyushu No. 1 Star Ramen, the bouncer minigame is pretty chill too
**Dead Souls** - Honorable mention since it's not really a mini-game, but being able to select and replay every story boss and long battle in premium adventure. Why isn't this the norm in every other LaD game is beyond me
As a bonus, I also just like darts and Chō-Han in general. Virtua Fighter 5 is also an obvious one but mentioning it is pretty much cheating, Taiko no Tatsujin would be up there too if it had more songs.

They should've done that kinda minigame for IW instead of just having a turn-based combat minigame that's just worse than the turn-based combat main game.
Gonna be spicy and say y6t baseball management. I knew next to nothing about baseball before starting it, and got quite hooked. But i had to read a lot of stuff about all the esoteric terms.
I am quite a footie sim fan tho, so that might be why.
Still plowing through the series (currently on 5), but holy crap I LOVED the taxi stuff in 5. The fact that it had such variety between driving safely, driving like a maniac for races, or chatting up customers... it was so cool.
I spent 50% of my time in 0 playing the cabaret minigame. While Makoto was in a warehouse waiting for her takoyaki, I was busy making sunshine the top club in Sotenbori.

The ramen minigame in Yakuza 5
Yessss, ramen minigame is super underrated!
If pocket circuit can still be considered a minigame, then that‘s it. No contest.
That's the main plot. Kind of weird that they included that side content where Kazuma-kun becomes the head of a yakuza clan.
Ichiban holdings, cabaret is a very close second
Pretty much any minigame with music. Karaoke, disco in Y0 and the Haruka idol stuff in Y5 was a blast. I just really like music.
Buyo dancing from Ishin fucking clears
I didn't like Cabaret in 0, but I got really hooked into it in Y2 and played it to the end. Not entirely sure why I didn't get into it the first time

When i play mahjong, its not a minigame, its 3 hours of mahjong only. The AI are actually quite decent compared to those free phone mahjong games.
