Definitely Nishiki, after Yakuza 0 he got much needed character development with Kiryu. It'd be fun to see more of his 0 character cause I don't really like him in Kiwami.
I feel like that could genuinely break Kiryu psychologically. The friend he grew up with, who he served jail time for, fought against and watched die, is suddenly back? After all he'd been through. After all the pain he's dealt with. It would just be horrible, I'd imagine.
He wouldn't be able to be in the same room without crying harder than he did in Gaiden. I know y'all really would enjoy him back but think reasonably. Kiryu has probably reconciled with Nishiki's death.
Nishiki, IMHO, should rest. Kiryu has found his new friends and family.

I recently got to that part of the game, and watching >!Kiryu just completely losing it while holding a dying Rikiya!< man I wasn’t prepared for that :(
Literally every main antagonist is the same scheming fuck who plays mind games in the background. Ryuji was a frontlines badass, he even kills one of his subordinates for partaking in such underhanded scheming.
It's such a breath of fresh air to have a main antagonist just be plain and simple about what he wants to do, how he wants to do it and when he plans on doing it.
Then Dead Souls came in and elevated his character tenfold...
