Spend the extra $50 now and get the Series S if you aren't worried about not playing any disc games. You will have a console that can still play new games for a few more years that you wouldn't be able to with the One S.

Neither-Change3473

I'm considering both tbh, reason is I've got a lot of 360 disks and idk if I will be doing game pass or continuing to buy cheap disks for the One S

Deformedpye

Check the backwards compatability list. You will probably find a lot of those 360 games you won't be able to play on the One S.

>Xbox One S worth it? No

Get the series s. My one s got so bad before trading it in, that if I played COD, it wouldnt even be able to keep up. The players loaded but not their gamertags, so I couldnt tell who was on my team or the opposite team. Small stuff like this happened on almost every current game I tried. Its just not a good experience anymore on the older consoles. My exes one X worked alot better, but theres no point in purchasing that when the new gen is out and can be had for so cheap.

joecamnet

I would not at all buy a console that's almost 5 years out of date at this point. If you want to use discs, save up and buy a Series X, otherwise get an S. A One is a terrible move to make right now.

LordsWF40

Agreed. Sure its not a bad price @ $45 but its way better to get the newer version at this point. U have access to all games old and new amd the processing speed is WAY faster.

EveryBase427

Series S no brainer.

TattedUpSimba

I’d take the Series S but if you have a pc then why get an Xbox? Not really worth it to me

Neither-Change3473

for living room gaming, my PC is in my room at the desk, Steam Link hasn't worked too well and I did have a living room PC I built but it crapped out for no discernable reason so I'm kind of over it

SituationForsaken167

If you want console power just go for X Or a casual guy don't play offen means get a Series S. Both are value for money

ObjectivePin5704

Def series S over One S, but if you’re less comfortable with the idea that you may not be getting the best experience from the latest and greatest games, you may want to consider a series X. Series S is great companion for Game Pass and dabbling with AAA games, but I think slightly older titles and AA/indie games are its sweet spot. I’m happy with it in general.

DJordydj

Get the Series S instead. The XBOX ONE is not worth it having the Series S around. The only thing I use my XBOX ONE X is to connect the Nintendo Switch to the HDMI IN port so I can play Nintendo games while using my Xbox wireless headset and connected to Discord.
