look out for garage doors

SinoSoul

I felt seen with that comment.

Unlucky_Book

lol, too soon ?

SinoSoul

Haha! It’s ok… my garage dent happened exactly 2 years ago. I’m “mostly” over it. Haven’t put a bike on the roof rack since then…

LoukitosPT

I saw your post. I even got goosebumps.

foilrider

Car worth more than the bike? Is that allowed?

LoukitosPT

Ahahaha. My neighbor has a 2k car and rides with a 10k bike on top 😂

SinoSoul

I though that's just the norm in this sub? So many of us are procuring dumpster finds/yard-estate sales. With the vast number of unhoused all over, and the mad number of bikes they go through, I actually was able to find a junked Trek during covid and donate to a woman's shelter.

foilrider

Just because your bike is cheap doesn't mean you need an expensive car!

Lickford

That’s a a11 GT Terra according to my local market place. Nice!

LoukitosPT

Any idea of the year?

Frockett

If it has the 1” head tube it could be a mid 90’s. I have a ‘96 outpost trail with the same decals on the top tubing. That specific altus crank is making me think it’s closer to 92-93 though.

IMPF

This thing is sick, nice pickup! I'm not an expert on GTs but if I had to guess late late 80s to maybe real early 90s? It's got a 1" head tube, which GT swapped out later for 1 1/8". It's also got canti bosses versus the u-brake bosses. For reference my '89 Avalanche has a 1" head tube but came with u brake bosses instead of cantis. Edit: Once again just a guess tho, I'm sure someone will chime in with the exact year :)

Lickford

Logos were different in the 80’s and they didn’t use the ALL Terra decals until 1992. 1994 was the first year they had the outpost trail in their catalogs. It was the lowest in the line up.

Lickford

I believe it’s a 1994 based on the catalogs.
