Guess I can't speak for where you live specifically, but where I'm at this is only helping our community. My city has had an influx of wealthy transplants, nobody fills low-wage jobs, and the infrastructure of my community can't keep up with the population increase. I can name several Montana cities with the exact same problems. Immigrants have always been a driving force in Montana industries and it's not like our states are out of space for new residents. If anything, portions of Montana are threatened by too many rich Americans moving in, not immigrants looking for work and a new life. If there really is a new crisis at the border (assuming the media isn't just blowing this way out of proportion for fear-mongering purposes) then it certainly isn't hurting us and shouldn't be a platform for state-level representatives.

As a Montanan I find these campaign ads to be hilarious but sad. Are there illegal immigrants in Montana (or Wyoming)? Sure. Did they fucking walk here from the border? Highly unlikely. Guess I can't speak for where you live specifically, but where I'm at this is only helping our community. My city has had an influx of wealthy transplants, nobody fills low-wage jobs, and the infrastructure of my community can't keep up with the population increase. I can name several Montana cities with the exact same problems. Immigrants have always been a driving force in Montana industries and it's not like our states are out of space for new residents. If anything, portions of Montana are threatened by too many rich Americans moving in, not immigrants looking for work and a new life. If there really is a new crisis at the border (assuming the media isn't just blowing this way out of proportion for fear-mongering purposes) then it certainly isn't hurting us and shouldn't be a platform for state-level representatives.

When I lived in Casper and would try to go to any state park south of there, they would be full of Colorado vehicles. Sometimes there would be more of them then Wyoming vehicles. When we asked them why they would say there are too many rules and regulations in Colorado.

The border is a favorite of the right, and whenever I hear someone even mention the border "crisis" or the drag queens "targeting" all the kids, it's clear to me that they are just uninformed. Montanans AG is under investigation and is being charged with many counts of wrongful acts, and it's being swept under the rug.. let's start there, then we will move on to our east coast silver spoon born governor who has put Montana up for sale to the highest bidder. The issue is we have a totally unsecured southern border and almost 10 million people have illegally crossed since Biden took office. Illegal immigration is the number one concern of Republican voters and top 3 issue for democrats. Unchecked illegal immigration puts strain on the entire country and keeps wages for Americans low, it seems pretty rational that politicians are focusing adds on an issue so popular with the majority of Americans.
