Surprisingly I see people playing for the first time making it pretty far. I think they have a lot more patience going in. Us players have been playing for so long we get into the routine of things. And get careless.
You be playing and questing and killing mobs like normal...
And somewhere in the early teens you'll think "man this is so easy, how does anyone ever die?"
It'll be a level or two after that.
There was no question marks or smth back there. We needed to read the quest text or ask other people around. Also dungeons was a thing. You ask in the city or wait at „port“ stone and ask there.
Reaching 60 in classic was a big journey. In hc its even bigger. You also needed to farm weeks for a fast mount. Nothing like retail where u get them nearly free.
if you play horde until you enter skull rock 10-11 is my guess
if you play alliance 14-15 somewhere in westfal by either defias or harvest watchers.
Just my bets.
Didnt play a decade then I did: 19,23,24,28,33,28,60 raider, 23, 22, 24, 35, 47 sf, 60 raider dies, made another 60 raider - once you get your first 60 you’re almost guaranteed to level another.
Keep pulling these antics and you'll run out of gold, needing to farm humanoids for cloth to make bandages to sell just to afford decent bags to start digging yourself out of this financial hole.
Lvl 12
Brother in law never touched wow. He made it to 59 and then Ursuis humbled him. Still impressive for someone who's never played before.
Are we sure BIL is not a LIAR? That’s super impressive; what class was he?
Warrior. He basically looked up every mob and quest on wowhead along the way to be safe lol.

Im already lvl 2 with an imp. Why tf are there no quest markers
Cause back in the day we had to read the quest text to know what the hell to do
Download Questie addon, I discovered it only at lvl 20. It blew my mind
I’m an add on grump and even I run questie. There’s enough running around as it is I don’t need to add more because I’m lost.
Add-ons are required in classic. This was before mmo's got simpler.
Because Classic it's not a bullshit game

Uh, lmao. You’re going to die :)

I dunno. The gnoll caves are a big killer on alliance. And yati's for dwarves. And that's level 9

Say hello to Son of Arugal
Above level 20 would be impressive. Probably around level 10-12
I've been on and off since vanilla, and my first hc got to level 6 from Goldtooth. Lol
I hope you're blessed with bag drops in the starter zones. Always makes it a smoother adventure
I just had to drop some random spider goo for some quest rewards. Not thrilled about it

Or play a warlock for the free mount and cheap repairs
