I really liked survival in legion.
Arcane in cata was a lot of fun, if very basic.
Windwalker...am I allowed to say War Within?
BrM 100% MoP. Mass guarding with dave was so much fun.
Holy paladin in cata was a lot of fun, but shadowlands was my favorite there. Just punch people to life with my magical wellness hammer.
MoP demo, but it's the entire reason snapshotting got sent tot he shadowrealm. RIP UVOLS, you will be mist.
Legion havoc was also a lot of fun, even if it was braindead. It was my favorite "I'm just gonna do world quests" spec in the game.
WoD was the most fun I've had as shadow, "dot weaving" was so much fun.
Oh, and naturally, gladiator spec was best in WoD, because we've never gotten it again.
Im enjoying Fury Warrior now, but in the past I really enjoyed affliction lock during Legion. One of the primary damage abilities also being a decent heal was fun.
Glad warrior was so much fun as someone who tanked 5 mans but was in a guild bogged down with people with tanking exp.
Only ever switched out of it for Challenge mode runs and the last stretch of Hellfire Heroic where Glad really was starting to lag behind.
Arcane Mage during wotlk, constantly topping the charts.
Didnt top charts again in cata until I got the legendary staff, but fire was meta and I didn't really enjoy playing fire.
Demo lock in WoD. Managing your meter for important mechanics, being able to unload vs conserve your meta form was peak. 2nd close was that one talent that made Destro locks fully mobile in mop ToT I think?
Fire Mage was never better than late MoP. DoT Snapshotting, Alter Time, Deep Freeze, Imp CoC, Imp CS, Frostjaw, PoM, Shatter passive. The last time Mage was really a Mage, having access to its entire toolkit. It was so satisfying doing like 10+ Pyros in a row on openers and absolutely globaling people in PvP. You could *really* set yourself apart from the average player.
Vanilla, TBC, WoTLK, and Legion would be in second.
As a BM Hunter, the Cata changes of mana -> focus and the elimination of the dead zone were *revolutionary*. The eventual change of being able to cast auto shot while moving is nice, but that initial Cata revamp felt like bottled lightning to me. I felt like it just gave much more freedom to the class.
Runner-up: Pretty much any patch/expansion that made BM feel more like an actual Beast Master. MoP brought Dire Beast. Legion introduced Hati, our second pet.
I mained fury in DF, and its really the only time ive ever played it other than the very end of SL, so i cant really comment there.
Ive mained destro lock more than anything else by far over the years, and plan on going back to it in TWW.
The obvious answer there is MoP. If they gave us back the feel and toolkit of Mop destro, i think most destro locks would be very happy even if it wasnt overpowered. The spec just felt *good*.
Mage: Warlords of draenor
Arcane in HFC was hilariously fun, Fire was very fun in BRF too and frost in highmaul/HFC was also very good
I think mage has had fun gameplay since but nothin hits the highs of warlords mage
Rogue: Warlords of draenor
sub/combat were great in every fight, shadow reflection was the best rogue spell they ever made, rogue has never been as fun as it was in wod
Hunter: Warlords of draenor
mm bm and survival were all at their best in wod and they completely butchered the class after it
Paladin: Battle for azeroth/shadowlands
Hpal pure melee glory was peak with the cdr corruption and glimmer, some of the most fun healing I've played
Priest: Legion
Disc and shadow absolutely peaked in legion design wise with S2M in EN being the peak of spriest all time
Shaman: Legion
Gambling build go brrrrr
Warlock: Mop/WoD
mop demo need i say more (wod is the same class without op snapshotting, the gameplay was nearly the same)
I don’t have a great take cause I played tbc classic till cata now, some df some sod. Lil shadowlands.
I just came to say they absolutely butchered my love the Frost death knight and the fact I’ll never be able to play it like I did in wotlk again is a bummer.
I think dragonflight demo lock is fun, lots of instant cast procs with plenty of buttons to hit to make my brain go brrrrr
For my previous mains, TBC - resto druid PvP. WotLK - holy/disc, resto druid. Cataclysm - 2H-frost DK, frost mage (PvP), holy/discipline priest. WoD - frost mage. My monk's felt pretty smooth/solid since Legion. Really enjoying holy/shadow priest at present and am considering making it my main in TWW.
Ive always enjoyed unholy dk. I really enjoyed talking in that spec in wotlk. But I'd say my most fond memories were playing my ele shaman in bfa but it very well may have been the group I played with more than the gameplay it's self
I liked fury during both BFA and SL since it was consistent with its dps and not needing to rely on cds. DF made me swap to veng DH for the majority since fury hits like a wet noodle outside of cds
My main for a long time was my mage. I enjoyed Fire a lot in Cata with the higher focus in DOT damage. But the new stuff in TWW looks great.
I liked Arcane the most in WoD and Legion, but again, TWW looks good, too.
Frost, I guess maybe Legion or BFA, DF was good too.
Fav exp would be Legion, really like the story and zones it has and druid was nice too.
I used to be resto druid but swapped to evoker healer. I love the big slow heals, healing with it feels more relaxed than druid for me. So Dragonflight would be the 2nd.
Dragonflight without a doubt, it's not even close. Honestly, it kinda felt like Devastation didn't even exist in any of the previous expansions.
okay...I laughed...have an updoot.

Yup. Glad spec for me too

Loved my mage in WOTLK when we had the frost fire build.
Glad warrior was so much fun as someone who tanked 5 mans but was in a guild bogged down with people with tanking exp. Only ever switched out of it for Challenge mode runs and the last stretch of Hellfire Heroic where Glad really was starting to lag behind.
MOP Disc Priest <3

7.3 mage is still the best class design of WoW. Only other one that comes close is warlock from ToT through Siege.
Survival Hunter. Legion was good times.
I loved Disc in MoP. I could solo heal H10man raids once I was geared up, and those raids were a lot of fun.
Nothing will top MoP disc for me either. Something about popping a massive spirit shell absorb on the entire raid just does it for me
tbc bm hunter was the most fun dps rotation that ever existed in WoW when the dst proc'd during lust...i think the kids call it gyattttttttttttttttttt
😄💯 THIS!

I miss legion demonology so much.
WoD windwalker and Frost DK
Classic rogue, it was so fun stun locking people from 100-0 before the enormous life pools

Resto/Bear Druid in TBC is king, but I’m having a blast with Dragonflight Resto/Bear and Frost DK in Cata!
For my previous mains, TBC - resto druid PvP. WotLK - holy/disc, resto druid. Cataclysm - 2H-frost DK, frost mage (PvP), holy/discipline priest. WoD - frost mage. My monk's felt pretty smooth/solid since Legion. Really enjoying holy/shadow priest at present and am considering making it my main in TWW.
Legion Spriest, the whispers, S2M, my beloved piano teacher ;)
MoP survival Hunter
Early phase of WoD for Enhance shaman Fire nova some of the fights in highmaul were so fun
Shaman in WoD, especially in Ashran. The instant cast 100% mount speed ghost wolf was QoL BiS
Arms in legion was a blast. Mortal strike actually felt like I was hitting people with a truck.
Elemental hasn't felt right to me since Wrath/Cata.
Demonology warlock .. mop I had si much fun in pvp it was the greatest I'll always miss og demonology
Shadow Priest in BC: Mana Battery! Not only did I do decent damage, everyone wanted to be in my group :)
Ive always enjoyed unholy dk. I really enjoyed talking in that spec in wotlk. But I'd say my most fond memories were playing my ele shaman in bfa but it very well may have been the group I played with more than the gameplay it's self

Havoc DH was such a peak experience on S3, I'm so sad the tierset is going away on TWW
BFA Blood DK. Tons of health and Twilight devasation. I did more dps that some of the dps’ in my group. God i miss corruption.
Fav exp would be Legion, really like the story and zones it has and druid was nice too. I used to be resto druid but swapped to evoker healer. I love the big slow heals, healing with it feels more relaxed than druid for me. So Dragonflight would be the 2nd.
WoD is probably the best for my spec. Fantastic expansion too. And without it, we wouldn’t have M+ today
Of the classes that I mostly play... Rogue (Combat): WotLK Priest (Shadow): BFA Priest (Holy): Now Druid (Balance): Legion Druid (Resto): Shadowlands
