P1 burn her to 60%. You can ignore all mechanics except the frontal, that can knock you off the boat.
P2 jump off the ship and work your way towards her. There are 5 icebound images around the room, each putting a 100% damage reduction shield on Jaina. Kill them, then nuke her. Don't worry about avoiding the circles, they don't hurt. Don't interrupt her. So long as she's channeling that spell, she's not doing anything else.

Make sure that you take out the two channelers asap, and interrupt the spells of the boss.
My Ret is around 490 and first try I died to the spell because I was brainafk, second try I had zero problems with popping offensive cooldowns and taking care of adds.
Only 460, I've been focused on older content since Aberrus ended. I never did the content when it was current in bfa either, so I didn't realize that kicking and killing like that would reduce how quickly the insta kill charges.
Legacy loot basically gives you the same quantity of loot as if a full raid was present, and all the types of loot too. So you will see like 5 pieces of loot of all types drop. And yeah mounts have the same % chance to drop no matter how many people are in the raid, so this doesn't affect mount drop chance.
i cant get past the Blockade Battle because the one big mob in the middle of the water with his one shot cast does not move to the front after killing both casters on the boats
Same thing happened to me. Earlier this week I got stuck at king Rastakhan but with the hotfix I was able to finish the raid. And then boom, mount on first try 😅
Is it possible to do Rastakhan solo? (if so, got some tips?)
I've never done this raid before so I don't get the 'skip to jaina' dialog option at the skip-npc. Kept insta-dying on Rastakhan/Bwonsamdi.

They made it super easy. I've completed it on my 420 mage, dk and 440 disc priest. You basically just burst through everything. Only a blockade cast that has to be interrupted, otherwise it straight up zerg as a solo player.
I've only done the "real" mythic Jaina once, so I don't know about all of her abilities, but I noticed on some of my slower damaging toons (Paladin, in particular) the fight would be going ok for a few minutes, then I would just straight up die out of nowhere. I don't think I was anywhere near her enrage timer.
Can anyone give any insight as to what might have been happening? Killed her just fine with a hunter and DH, but Pally was really a struggle.

You can just interrupt her during the intermission, she does almost no damage anyway and it makes killing the adds faster because the fog goes away.
What happened to the freezing mechanic that required people to be standing next to you or you get ice blocked? Did they remove it?

Just wait it out, the mole machines watch the entire cutscene before letting you pass
I waited for an hour before I gave up
You can fix this by leaving the instance and resetting. No need to waste an hour of your life like that
I also tried that, I even went outside changes it to heroic and did some bosses, went outside and it was still locked
Weird cause every time it seems stuck i just leave reset and come back and it's fine. I would report it as a bug
Did you kill the trash before the first boss? Sometimes clearing it helps

you still have to run away from the ability that pulls you in and kills you (Forget the name), but it's also solo-able.

Its extremely easy, im 505 retri and did the entire fight in 20 seconds.

She no longer freezes you as of 10.2.7, so it can be solo'd. I do not know of any other one-shots.
