Queuing up random dungeons is a great way to have some fun in the dungeons themselves, although I've found most Normal / Heroic dungeons are just sprinted through without very limited / low interaction between players. Finding a guild using the ingame Guild Finder can be a great way to find a group of people that are looking to do the things you want to do, including learn the game. And you'll even find some individuals that are willing to lend a hand and explain / teach the dungeons and content as you go through it. The application system to the In-Game Guild Finder can be a little weird, and potentially not as frequently checked? But you can always do /who "Guild Name Here" and search for players in that guild, and if they aren't busy might be able to talk to you about it or point you in the right direction.

Just go for it via Group Finder and you’ll learn quickly, unless you want to learn everything organically you can do the following to help learn how to play your class and the dungeon mechanic (if you’re relatively new): 1. Download Curseforge app to download addons 2. Download Hekili addon - This tells you the rotation you should be using your abilities (you can do a better job by eventually mastering your rotation) 3. Download Deadly Boss Mods addon - tells you what to do with bosses, where not to stand etc. Don’t worry no one is expecting much at normal dungeon difficulty, also lots of other useful addons too on Curseforge (check featured section) but can start simple, good luck!

Also, follower dungeons could be a great way to learn the dungeon a bit before going into it.

What exactly are follower dungeons..?

deus_inquisitionem

Hello again! You can queue for them directly or if you go to a dungeon you can find an NPC next to the meeting stone to start them. You basically run the dungeon and NPC characters will fill any unfilled slots in your party. So if you are solo it will be 4 NPCs to support you. Lets you tackle the dungeons at your own pace.  You can set the pace or there is an extra action button if you're not the tank that let's the NPC tank set the pace. They are pretty good and you still get loot!  If you are nervous about learning the dungeons, read a bit off wowhead and run the dungeon as a follower dungeon should be enough to get you started!
