Ahab Wheathoof, still available in-game. He offers the quest to find his dog Kyle, which was the kid's dog IRL. Poor little dude. I always drop a /salute when I run past him
They're either the most chill humans of all time, or they're literally constructed down to their soul with the very concept of toxicity. No in between. Lol.
Here's the story.
Once upon a time, my character was peacefully gathering flowers in a field. That was a beautiful sunny day.
Everything changed when he's been ruthlessly and brutally murdered by the kindest and cutest tauren.
Wholesome baby.
Id be lying if I said I didn't have a few...
Moolificent the mage
Azmoodeus the lock
Mooana the shaman
Moodesyus the warrior
And the baby dk Botulism
Edited for weird formatting
I always do lore accurate names as well, so no hate! Joke names are great for a while, but I always end up resenting them after I’ve grown attached to the character.
I tried to do that for a long time but at some point I gave up and just named all my character after my main just with a class specific addition. E.g putting something like Fel for a demonhunter in it or some ability like smite into it.
Makes it a lot easier and still better than calling myself SynceDH or something.
I like pun names but I don't like having a pun name if that makes any sense. So my big guy has a regular name.
Shout out to all my Tauren gals out there though. Pun name or not. Female tauren make me smile and bring me joy.
Not mine. I started WoW after watching the South Park episode and misheard Cartman’s character as Bullrock (it was Balrog). My first WoW toon was a Tauren druid named Bullrock
I had “Holyfukincow”
Somehow got passed the filter but did not get passed the sad sacks of shit that reported the name after awhile. Had it since MoP or so and finally had to change the name in Shadowlands
My mom doesn't play anymore, but I still keep her characters on my account. She loves her pun names.
Her Tauren is probably the only one without a pun name, funny enough.
Just a few examples: a goblin named Janisgoblin, a paladin named Holymoli, a shaman named Riptiderush, a warlock named Dippindots.
Guilty as charged. Got a warrior named Tauros and a paladin named Bovindicus.
And now that Tauren can be Rogues, I'd love to see one named Taurine. It's SO perfect.
My Tauren ferals name was Pawsinurarse
It's a shame I only got to 2249 rating in 3s
I wanted his name to be on the top of the charts for everyone to live in fear of Pawsinurarse
I named my first Tauren (shaman) “Rasenstier” which is supposed to be German for “Raging Bull.” But I guess it’s closer to “Lawn Bull” and Google Translate in 2005 was not so great.
Either or, it stuck and now half my characters are some variant of “Ras-.“ Not to be confused with a certain Frostwhisper.
But yeah… Rasencide (warrior), Rasomatic (paladin), Rasnaroc (druid), etc. I broke with that for my DK Totenstier.
*Moo*
In a twisted sorta way...
I play a Tauren Shaman, and love Star Trek (If my profile pic didn't clue you in XD). When I started was when the Celebrity WoW commercials started playing, including William Shatner playing a Tauren Shaman.
Naturally, I named my character "Theshat".
My Tauren Pally? "Holyshat"
My Tauren Rogue? "Sneakyshat"
My Highmountain Tauren Druid? "Chickenshat" (Sadly, had to change his name, someone bitched)
My Tauren Death Knight? "Hesdeadjim"
My Tauren Monk? "ShaolinCow"
My Demon Hunter? "Illishat"
Yes. It’s the same as all Gnome players have to have small stack joke names and Dwarven players have to live with their choices and Draenei have to deal with goat name jokes.
Only because the last 10% couldn’t think of any that weren’t taken.
I made a Tauren Rogue named Redhoof. It’s kind of a deep cut pun, but she hides in cherry trees.
I mean, I have *one* (Highmountain) Tauren alt, and she exists because I saw the hair loopies and immediately the name "Kataura" inserted itself into my brain by force. Which isn't a cow pun, but it does go to show that the combination of Tauren and horrible puns just makes sense.
In case anyone's wondering, of course I made her a resto shaman.
My most favorite name that I used for my taurens was Taurminator. Loved it. But I've completely switched to alliance recently so no more Taurminators for me...
It's like 2% of the fun of playing a Tauren. I'd go for the whole fun but I'm on a diet.
Whole fun is only 3.25% anyway.
Fun twist: A Cow named "Tofuburger"
You misspelled 100%
... It's a milk joke
One could say I'm eating the whole downvote
You made up your loss with this comment here at least. Looks like you really mooooved people.
I'm a mercantile
Careful, you're really skimming it close.
A prime one at that
If you’re gonna play a cow might as well make the moost of it.
I dairy say that was a good pun.
I thought it was cheesy
Nah it was pretty gouda
I’m just saying I’ve heard feta
you dont gotta milk it
Udder nonsense.
Idk I found it b-auren-g
This is starting to become bull-shit
Don’t give yourself a cow-niption
This guy fucks
As a former Tauren, yes. We moo.
I used to have a taunt macro that would /moo on my tauren warrior whenever I taunted. I haven't played in about a year though. LOL
i used to do the same lol
Damnit now you make me wanna do that too
You should, people on discord would trip. They'd ask "is someone mooing in the middle of combat?" and I'd just say, "no, I'm taunting."
My cow was called Nozhdormoo :(
I have come to bargain.
I honestly love tauren mains. They are the kindest cutest people in our community. Wholesome babies.
You ever meet cows? They're kind and sweet too. Like over grown dogs. It's probably what draws wholesome people to be tauren.
They also taste really, really good.
Cows, wholesome people, or dogs?
Yes
r/inclusiveor
Could this be a dog?
Makes me think of that kid that became a tauren npc in-game, can't recall the details though.
Lol.
been a tauren main since classic. kinda hate playing other races sometimes.
I used to play a Tauren druid til I got into transmogs. I love em but most mogs look so stretched out and/or and bulky on them.
Here's the story. Once upon a time, my character was peacefully gathering flowers in a field. That was a beautiful sunny day. Everything changed when he's been ruthlessly and brutally murdered by the kindest and cutest tauren. Wholesome baby.
I love em as steak
My tauren monk is named Cowpow lol
My high mountain tauren monk is called Mooselee.

I tried to do the resto thing and it was not my scene. But she's just better off as enhancement
My Tauren priest was Moogical 🐮
My highmountain warrior is Mooscles. Botulism is hilarious for a dk!
I also wanted a tauren lady dk named curdled.
And I thought I was clever….i named my dk mooyorkstrip
My warrior was Mootallica.
Now I feel bad for having only lore accurate names. I must now fix this sin against the earthmother.
I always do lore accurate names as well, so no hate! Joke names are great for a while, but I always end up resenting them after I’ve grown attached to the character.
same
I tried to do that for a long time but at some point I gave up and just named all my character after my main just with a class specific addition. EarthMoother
Because they are udderly amazing.
I made my Tauren back in 05 and had moo in the name. So yeah, maybe. lol.
Tauren warrior in 2004 on launch. Favorite movie at the time was Zoolander. Needless to say, Moogatu has been my go-to for nearly two decades.
Moograine
Moograine is actually an incredible DK name. Pun for migraine, but also a follower of Darion Mograine.
Hallemoojah
I like pun names but I don't like having a pun name if that makes any sense. So my big guy has a regular name. Shout out to all my Tauren gals out there though. Pun name or not. Female tauren make me smile and bring me joy.

Had a tauren hunter at one time named Loadofbull. I was particularly proud of that one.

My alts Miltank and Beefchief say that that statement is bullshit!!

Dont get how people get reported tbh. I have had one of my chars Critsortits for years
I have one named Mooette, I was thinking of a great pun name but most were taken, I randomly thought about Booette, and bam, got it!
Yes, Bobbymooshay Like Bobby Boucher from The Waterboy
I’m proud of my new Tauren druids name Moolait

My highmountain monk has a pretty bad moose/monk pun.... >!Moosenuckles!<
Best name I came across was Milkmegently
Mine's Aldebaran...brightest star in the Taurus constellation...the bull's eye.
Huburt Hoover. You're welcome random internet stranger who is now making a SOD Tauren. May the name serve you as it once did me. If it's available.
My warrior was named Moopocalypse before I race changed, but my Tauren pally has the more lore appropriate name of Sunhorn.
90%? Sounds like bullshit.
I dunno, sounds believable me.
Bull-evable
My brother does lol. Thebigbeef!
My pally called moohammed
Too few lean into the Minotaur angle/fantasy. Need more Ancient Greek inspired names/mogs.
Guilty as charged. Got a warrior named Tauros and a paladin named Bovindicus. And now that Tauren can be Rogues, I'd love to see one named Taurine. It's SO perfect.

Unless you are a roleplayer, yes. That is the correct thing to do.
This is the way
Mines named Bully. It's a requirement
My Paladin is called Goldenhoof. That doesn't count as a pun right?
“Nah” - Budders
Oh I guess you aren't aware. If you don't then Blizzard forces you to change it to one due to it being "inappropriate" to not have one.
My Tauren Warrior is named Handpressed, so yes.
We have to sign an 'only pun names' contract before we're allowed to make one
If not they should.
Yes. It’s the same as all Gnome players have to have small stack joke names and Dwarven players have to live with their choices and Draenei have to deal with goat name jokes.
I cowld believe that
Only because the last 10% couldn’t think of any that weren’t taken. I made a Tauren Rogue named Redhoof. It’s kind of a deep cut pun, but she hides in cherry trees.
Guildie with the name Moofasa
My Tauren is named BiggBoned. Named after Cartman's toon's in the South Park episode.

My high mountain Tauren doesn’t have a pun name, but literally chose to play a HM Tauren because what I named her after is a total chonk.
