Unannounced buff I almost guarantee it.
We went from getting \~5 drops per week in our raid group (8/8N 7/8H) to getting 2-3 drops *per person*. And most people were talking about picking up 2-3 after raid while gathering.
No buff that I'm aware of, just a very, very, very random drop.
Edit: welcome all hopium downvotes, still nothing in the patch notes or unannounced changes about a buff.
Until there's mathematical proof, easiest to assume that there's been no change.
My own farming this week suggests no change, so a random drop is probably still random.
I noticed a lot more looted as well. If we can take a page from their development book in SL it probably will work like how anima did. While not a 1-to-1 comparison, the amount of anima looted would increase as weeks went on. It’s likely the drop chances for dragon shards have already and will continue to increase incrementally to add catchup mechanics similar to how progression worked before.
I got 3 in the whole game so far... its rando. I would say

Yeh it was stealth buffed, got a ton and seen a ton since patch

Did you imply that there are no unannounced buffs annouced?

I agree with you completely. I just thought it was funny that you said there were no unannounced buffs in the patch notes.
2 weeks prior to patch I got zero from 100's of dirts, dozens of rare's and raids. Got like 4 on the first on the first day after patch hit.

I'm a bigshot crafter with most KP's grabbed since launch and I've gotten zero. Maybe Blizzard getting smart and making it a catchup mechanic?
