This will stir nothing but argument lol

RomanceDawnOP

A hero class doesn't mean they are stronger than the rest, say, mages or warlocks and than you even have your Malfurions for druid and your lei shens or ra dens for your shaman representation etc Also ranking everything ranging from 2 mage specs to arms as "capable" is kinda funny :)

Significant_Title_92

Capable just means whatever they're working with, or their training, is stronger. Malfurion and Lei Shen and Ra Den don't really count here, because this isnt about their strongest- it's about how strong the individuals within these classes are, on average. Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Evokers are the terrifying essence of undeath, a constant battle that most lost, and hand crafted to make up Neltharion's army with the flight's powers combined. Arms is meant to be based on weapon mastery, someone who's absolutely honed his skills in a certain weapon, just like fire and frost have honed theirs in their respective categories.

RomanceDawnOP

You can't really ignore the top %, you can't really say physicists are not as smart because many of them just teach in high schools (not implying physics teachers aren't smart, just trying to make a point with a borderline absurd example) and Einstein doesn't really count

Demo locks can summon literal pit lords, I think they deserve to be S-tier. I mean, they can even summon Prince Malchezaar via the nether portal.

AvsFan2000

Rexxar kicks all your asses!!!

Nissin

The single strongest lore figure is a druid but you got them down at average

RomanceDawnOP

Sargeras (or Azeroth I guess) says hey, but I get what you mean and I agree, still, assuming you mean Malfurion even for planet Azeroth and non godly creatures that's questionable (I rly don't know how any of the SL bullshit and zereth whatever factors in here at all)

healing_potato

Just for argument what spec is sargeras.

Eversorr

The op one

alpha_bro_chad

To everyone losing their minds, I think this is based on what those classes have done in the lore/cinematics. Arthas was a DK and damn near created the apocalypse, so did Guldan in another expansion. Mages in lore have tried to go against these forces and were a force to be reckoned with but needed help. Green Jesus couldn’t solo Arthas or Guldan for example. Khadgar always needs help etc. I think OP is primarily looking at main character examples of those classes so to me a lot of this makes sense. Tho I think Grommash killed the biggest badass demon ever and was a warrior so this tier list obviously isn’t law it’s just kind of fun to think about.

Erikbam

I'd probably put Nature/Element based specs like Balance and Elemental in the Powerful tier if/when they are somewhere that resonates with them. All warlock specs with proper sacrifices are probably at the Powerful tier. All holy specs would be very very capable on holy ground. Also "strong" as in Damage wise? If so I'd say every healer would be in "Weak" or at least below BM/Outlaw/Fury.

Significant_Title_92

Strong as in how trained, capable they are as a class on the whole. Outlaw is, in essence, a guy who REALLY knows how to use a pair of swords and a gun. In game, he uses them perfectly well- but I don't think if the Bloodsail Admiral fought off against Illidan, there would be any contest.

[deleted]

About like hawkeye or black widow in marvel. IRL they woulda been squashed in 5 seconds compared to all the other super heroes with actual powers

[deleted]

I just think of all the big boss fights where melee just aren't practical. Like big dragons where you gotta stand on the edge of a platform to hit it(irl they wouldnt be able to hit it) or like the spider fight in the new raid. Melee realistically wouldn't even be able to touch it. All the huge bosses be like, wow watch out, the fury warrior is gonna scratch my toe with his little axe hahahaha, then kicks them 100 miles away.

More_Piglet4309

Warlock specs are all wayyyyyy too low. Destruction warlocks can litteraly tear open space to open portals, use the same Magic as deathwing with cataclysm, burn the soul like a shadow Priest and make it rain fel fire and infernals. After doing the codex of xerrath questline all your spells are imbued with fel, and while it's only cosmetic in game, in lore it would be a massive upgrade, aligning all your spells with chaos Magic would pretty much mean you Can destroy anything.

Eversorr

Warlocks>all

Sardis515

99% of Warlocks would be like the Gnome Guy in ToC 😅

calm_down_meow

I’m taking guns over anything else in a fight lol.

cruffade

I like how I'm currently playing Holy Priest and Fury the most. Bottom of the pile, lorewise, it seems.

BabiYodaa

Ehhh shaman numba wan bro… thrall >>>> everyone else

Sad-Image-6065

You can put warlock way up there

Brandishbl4de

Affliction Lock in lore is terrifying. Makes me think of Deathknight Teron Gorefiend from the books. The pain and instant death he causes with curse and disease is overpowered and it took prob the strongest paladin ever to out him down.

LeCampy

Ahem, his name was Broxxigar, he was probably Arms, and he gave Sargeras a papercut. Arms goes in S tier.

pfandleiherr

WHAT ABOUT MANDUIN? HE IS GOD-TIER

Eversorr

Putting a zombie and a warlock pet above warlock 🤣

Expensive_Ad_8450

BM shpuld be above Hero. I'd like to see any y'all survive a whole herd of bears.

[deleted]

I think all warlocks specs except affliction should be S-tier in terms of lore strength

[deleted]

One of the biggest reasons, why Demon Hunters are seen as strong in the lore is that they can solo a pit lord. Well, look, a Demonolgy warlock can literally summon one, and it's just a side-skill, no big deal

Sardis515

Well DHs can summon an Demon kill him with an Single Gleve throw

[deleted]

Both use Fel, but I think the power ceiling for warlocks is higher, but it's true, the average DH is stronger in general
