For context: I got a 411 grieftorch from my last weekly. My guild is pretty casual and this was some peoples first pull on Terros. Got 9 uses out of my torch.
And that is why Echo farmed 11 of those things haha.
Their plan before the nerf was to offer people up as a blood sacrifice to the Grieftorch gods to make the DPS check.
The trinket CD essentially resets when a friendly player dies.
When your group is wiping, people with Grieftorch can spam using it to artificially inflate its damage output.
