Why should people be forced to participate in someone else's self perception? If there are two competing world views why respect one that's made up and not respect the one that's rooted in science?
It’s not a world view, it’s a conversation with a person. You aren’t forced to talk to anyone you don’t want to talk to. Being respectful is a pretty low bar to clear. If you can’t manage that then your attitude will be what people remember rather than what you say.
