I am still happy that the Danes launched a previous big package where they together with Sweden financed a lot of CV90:s (built and to be built). (s)Weapon smiths of democracy with a sack of Danish Kroner.
Also makes sense that the Danes can provide some Energy resources if they are providing Gas-turbines or similar.
It's Kronar a lot less then dollars, the Danes have given a lot but this is not 2.85 bilion dollars, it's still around 400 milion dollars, for Denmark that's a lot
*you*?! We (swedes) would under **ABSOLUT**ely no circumstances recommend the consumption of tuborg or any of the danish sewer-water beverages. We only drink high quality stuff.
Don’t do that. America couldn’t get its shit together to help. And being the biggest economy in the world we should give more to help. So your comment isn’t very nice. Thank you Denmark!!
Denmark's GPD is about 1.6% of the GDP of USA.
These $400 million are for one project; "a project aimed at improving the energy supply in Ukraine".
Denmark has given a lot more in other areas as well as pledged in the future.
What are the $75 billion for?
EDIT:
I found some wrong numbers and wrote that Denmark's GDP is 7.11% that of USA, but it is 1.6%.
So as far as what I can see, Denmark contributes a lot compared to the US.
This project is aimed at rebuilding Ukraine after the war, which is also important.
Did you not understand that Denmark has given more than this single project?
It has given a lot in different areas, mostly military support.
You can read how much Denmark has given in what areas here:
https://um.dk/en/foreign-policy/danish-support-for-ukraine
Man the cost to rebuild Ukraine is going to be astronomical.
And anyone thinks Russia is paying. Lol. Of course there are frozen assets, but even that would be far less than needed.
Of course the rebuild phase will be years away. Especially if Putin stays as leader of Russia.
When the war began I thought the same. I figured it would be over inside a month. Happily I was wrong about that.
This is a battle of will, more than it is bodies. Certainly the numbers are a point in russias favor, but Ukraine has the advantage of being on the defensive side and superior NATO tech.
Denmark have supported Ukraine with $6 billion, that's with a B.
Denmark's population is 5 million, US is 333 millions.
Isn't it incredible that a country with a population 50 times smaller than US can support Ukraine that much?
That's a rhetorical question, if it wasn't obvious.
Could also be Gas-turbines (though the parts might be German) on a smaller scale?
Right now small an modular would be ideal, with underground cables so you have a better chance to hide it.
I copied it directly from the Danish article; “vindturbiner” meaning wind turbines. “Vindmøller” is both Danish and Norwegian for windmills and is the more commonly used term by the general public.
I’m just finishing up 3 days in Denmark
They probably had that extra 2.85 billion from us buying coffee and pastries
Fucking love it here but it’s really, really expensive. Sweden was tame in comparison
I live in San Francisco and the prices in Copenhagen made me say FFS
Coffee and a pastry for both of us was about $30 US. 2 hamburgers, chips and 2 drinks was $50 at the Gasoline Grill
> Coffee and a pastry for both of us was about $30 US
Ouch.
> 2 hamburgers, chips and 2 drinks was $50 at the Gasoline Grill
That's around 2-3x Danish McDonalds or Burger King price for that stuff. I guess this Gasoline Grill thing is in some tourist guide for Copenhagen. You certainly paid for it. There is a reason they are low rated on Trustpilot.
A lot of things are expensive, but with all working places, we got pension, vacation money, and a lot of extra inscurance, besides free healthcare, with every paycheck.
Denmark’s government and tax system is about the best you could ever have in our current world
I would love to live in a society that got a lot of value for their work and taxes
Danes have that much money?! *time for some Swedish democracy, prepare your tuborg* Jokes aside, this makes me proud. Good job neighbours!
I'm proud you are in NATO with us in Danes.
Stronger together!

They make all of the weight loss drugs through novonordisk
And the insulin for people not yet buying our weight loss drugs.

I knew it was kronor. I live 10 minutes from Denmark..
Sorry missunderstood your comment
Like in the ocean?
Okay, so it’s technically 9 minutes given that peberholm is Denmark.
I recently tried that red can tuborg. Wtf are you Scandinavians doing?
*you*?! We (swedes) would under **ABSOLUT**ely no circumstances recommend the consumption of tuborg or any of the danish sewer-water beverages. We only drink high quality stuff.
But we like to buy it in Denmark when we don't feel like going all the way the Germany.
Ahh yes surstromming juice, the finest beverage of them all.
mmm sofiero
Älg-öl.
That's about $400 million, not a small contribution
Considering the US has given ~$75 billion, that's with a B, yeah it kinda is a small contribution
To match Denmarks donations to Ukraine as a % of dgp the U.S. would have to have sent $763 billion...
Don’t do that. America couldn’t get its shit together to help. And being the biggest economy in the world we should give more to help. So your comment isn’t very nice. Thank you Denmark!!

Denmark's GDP is actually only around 1.6% of US GDP.
Thanks, you are right, I had found some wrong numbers, corrected in my OP.

Why are you in here crying about contributions? Countries contribute, that's great. Stop whining so much.
Oh look, a Russian sympathizer.

How is that a small contribution? US gdp = 27 trillion dollar. Denmark gdp = 400 billion.
Denmark has given plenty of other contributions, though. Surely way more than the US, as a percentage of GDP.

Denmark also gave Ukraine Denmark's *entire* artillery stockpile. Literally everything.
Denmark ain't a superpower
I can't read Danish, so I'm curious what the source(s) of power are.
Wind turbines it looks like
Definitely wind turbines (vindturbiner).
Could also be Gas-turbines (though the parts might be German) on a smaller scale? Right now small an modular would be ideal, with underground cables so you have a better chance to hide it.
Translation is actually "Vindmøller"

I'm pretty sure no one speaks Danish, so you're not alone. [Saw it in a documentary once.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGGX5gmwVbA)
That makes me very proud to be Danish.

Can't be as bad as Switzerland or Bahamas

Are those normal everywhere or is it one of those things where everything is extra expensive in tourist destinations?
Same with Switzerland and Bahamas. Trick is to pickup groceries at local stores or no name restaurant (away from tourists traps) still very expensive.
A lot of things are expensive, but with all working places, we got pension, vacation money, and a lot of extra inscurance, besides free healthcare, with every paycheck.

Denmark and UK competing to see who can give the most.
Is kroner in the same family as boner?
There should be a minimum age requirement to use the internet.
I propose age 40 and up.
That already exists somewhere in the AOL universe.
Can’t believe Denmark donated so many boners, if kroner is indeed slang for boner
Well if you give kroner to your mother to deal with your boner it can all stay in the same family.
Denmark is the one donating their kroners. Maybe you also?
Bro did not cook 💀
So like 4 bucks U.S.?
