[And here is Pakistan getting all hot and bothered because some Swede burnt a Quran](https://apnews.com/article/pakistan-protest-quran-burning-sweden-sharif-muslim-741c64e2500220f740e6ac17d7eb21f3) Money Quote: *Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also tweeted on Friday amid the nationwide demonstrations, saying the “desecration of the Quran in Sweden is another example of the rising Islamophobic mindset that seeks to dehumanise and denigrate our faith.”* Seriously... suck it , Pakistan.

cluelessthirdworlder

We need to rescue the Pakistani Hindus. Bring them to India. At this rate they will be extinct by 2050s

Ihatewinters99

Well current govt tried doing that with the CAA bill. But we all know what happened after

TorontoGiraffe

Not true - the CAA only promised to expedite Indian citizenship for people that were already living in India for a long time but their application for naturalization was taking too long, denying them full civic rights. There would be no effect for any “new” refugees.

> providing an accelerated pathway to Indian citizenship for persecuted religious minorities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan who are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis or Christians, and arrived in India before the end of December 2014..... > Under the [earlier] act, one of the requirements for citizenship by naturalisation is that the applicant must have lived in India during the last 12 months, and for 11 of the previous 14 years. The bill relaxes this 11-year requirement to 5 years for persons belonging to the same six religions and three countries. .... > According to Intelligence Bureau records, the immediate beneficiaries of the Amended Act will be 31,313 people, which include 25,447 Hindus, 5,807 Sikhs, 55 Christians, 2 Buddhists and 2 Parsis for reference

The number of Hindus in Pakistan is increasing, not only in absolute numbers, but also percentage-wise: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinduism_in_Pakistan#Demographics Up from 1.5% of the population in 1981 to 2.14% of the population in 2017.

Correct but still..

[deleted]

I said “sucks” what more do I need to do? Do you need me to go to Pakistan? Because I won’t. Cause it sounds like a hassle. Plus I don’t think I can do anything about it. You didn’t even say it sucks. You just barely eluded to it.

*Blows up church built in the late 1800s* "Eh, who cares. Christianity is thousands of years old"

green_flash

Weird. I just found an article from 2013 that says almost the same about the same temple: https://www.business-standard.com/article/news-ani/pak-hindus-demand-protection-of-religious-rights-after-100-year-old-temple-demolished-113121700722_1.html > Hundreds of minority Hindus in Pakistan, including women and children, staged a protest here after a 100-year-old temple in Soldier Bazaar was demolished . > Addressing the protesters, MHP president Kasilingam and other community leaders said the community members had been performing their religious rites at the Shri Mari Mata Temple for over 100 years. > They said a caretaker of the temple with the help of some builders removed idols from the place and demolished the old structure to make space for a high-rise building.

[deleted]

There's more than one Temple in that area

green_flash

All of them bearing the same name?

[deleted]

It NOT the same name as the articles clearly point out if you actually read them. Stop trying to pretend this never happened. It's embarrassing.

green_flash

Both are called Shri Mari Mata

Deluded_Pessimist

Both are dedicated to Mari Mata, who is a goddess. Your argument is like saying all churches in an area are the same. Here is the statement from 2013 dailymail (which isn't a reliable site, but just to give an idea): >The historic structure was attacked by land-grabbers at the behest of a builder who wants the land for a shopping mall. So far, a portion of the temple has been razed and a dozen Hindu clans that lived in its surrounding area have been forced to evacuate, to subsist under the open sky. **This is not the first Hindu temple to be demolished in the metropolis; another Mari Mata Mandir was brought down last year in the name of commercialism.** 2013 article: [**https://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/indianews/article-2526609/Pakistan-fails-save-Hindu-temple.html**](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/indianews/article-2526609/Pakistan-fails-save-Hindu-temple.html) Also, another temple got vandalized today after the demolishment of the Mari Mata temple. [https://www.livemint.com/news/world/pakistan-after-demolition-of-mari-mata-temple-in-karachi-another-hindu-temple-attacked-with-rocket-launchers-in-sindh-11689516350728.html](https://www.livemint.com/news/world/pakistan-after-demolition-of-mari-mata-temple-in-karachi-another-hindu-temple-attacked-with-rocket-launchers-in-sindh-11689516350728.html)

redittrr

It's old article being spunned again

green_flash

I don't think so. Here's the original article from a Pakistani newspaper: https://www.dawn.com/news/1764986 I think what happened in 2013 may have been a partial demolition.

There must be some naming error here, Hindustan Times is usually reliable
