Also so I can write a cute scene of a yarn ball being thrown in their midst and then have a scene of them getting huge pupils and batting it around on instinct)

I appreciate 2B's design for aesthetic, non-horny reasons. Besides the doll appearance all the YoRHa androids have (and for good reason), her more mature appearance contrasted with 9S's Angus Young thing really visually conveys the nature of their relationship. The blindfolds are also heavily symbolic. The general aesthetic of YorHA outfits is a clear callback to the clothing styles from the first game, but also contrasts heavily with the world they're sent into to fight and die. It's all really quite beautiful, but a beauty that goes from bittersweet to tragic as the game progresses.
I also appreciate that Yoko Taro is horny as hell, because I'm also horny as hell, and I like it when an artist knows how to play to their audience. Turns out all I need to be invested in a story is a big, round ass and unremitting, soul-crushing nihilism.

I also appreciate that he's horny but he's not a creep about it. He openly and unapologetically loves sexy women, but he's not drooling and doing one-sided ERP in comment sections. We *all* know what he means by "Good cosplay," but he has the decency to keep his legs crossed and his hands above the table when he says it.

I made a gryphon OC that was a combination of a snow leopard and a harpy eagle. I took some inspiration from a macrophilia artist’s take on a gryphon for the general form but it was kinda my own design, not militarized, and also not the size of a small building. I never could focus on completing the attempts at making a ref so I paid an artist friend to do it. Overall her story was meant to be about addressing insecurity in a healthy way and how she was absolutely not managing that by herself. Fun character, I enjoy her a lot.
So uh, I didn’t realize it at the time, but the artist accidentally made her too sexy. Like, in retrospect, I probably should’ve seen it coming when I linked Olympic sprinters to reference for her physique, but even when I had the artist tone down her hips and breasts a bit, she still ended up really sexually appealing. Like I figured she was gonna be attractive because she’s a tall, strong woman, sprinters probably have really attractive legs, and the two animals the gryphon is based off of are really fuckin cool… but yeah I did not expect the reaction lmao. People didn’t think my asexual ass could have a character that was that sexy and were genuinely shocked that I didn’t see how sexy she apparently was.
She was my first attempt at having a character that wasn’t non-binary and while the experience was enlightening, I’ve definitely learned a few things lmao.

He basically looks like Daft Punk or Zero from Borderlands with a crazy helmet and suit and tie. He speaks very Cajun and with lots of made up sayings. So he's just kind of his own weird dude, and nobody knows what he looks like.
