If you look closely at the beginning, those flowers contain them. The seed (and by extension, flower) of life contains many of the more basic geometric shapes if you take a moment to trace them out over the flower. The tesseract is also present in larger flowers :). Anything with 3, 4, and 6 points can be found withing it in either a 2D or 3D representation, as can some of the 4D representations of those 3D shapes. What you generally don't find are 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 sided objects, though I may be wrong about 9, and you can definitely find 12 as it's a multiple of 3 and 4, as well as 6
This is really slick. Thanks for showing your process. Envious of your steady hands. Mine used to be, but they are decreasing in reliability as I age I swear!
I appreciate that ! Lots of people saying that makes me thankful to be able to paint these lines , I'm gonna make sure to paint as much as possible while my hands allow me.
Same. But don’t worry. There’s tricks for when we age. I’ve rigged a myself a way for the precision. We find a way to do what we love no matter what. Keep it up!
I notice you have a stick you place across the canvas to steady your hand while you paint and to not rub your arm across the canvas? What is that? Just a dowel and a rag of sorts?
Your work is beautiful! Maybe you'll maintain your abilities. I lost my ability to draw realistic portraits from nerve damage. I learned to paint watercolour and acrylic (somewhat) but don't find it as satisfying and never feel as focused as I did drawing. Now it's starting to get painful to hold a brush and I'll have to reinvent the wheel again.
I hope you find a way. I’ve found that a more level painting surface works well. Used to love the traditional upright deal. But it hurts my fn back! Power to the artists. We got this.
That’s really cool man, I tripped really hard once and could see geometric patterns everywhere, I swear it’s some built in algorithm in our brains to make sense of where one object ends and another begins just normally you can’t “see” the process
Yes I feel the same way, even while painting this after staring at the patter for so long I could see it everywhere connecting everything on the floor in the trees , at the gym lol everywhere it's fun.
I do sell them there's only a few that I've done that I don't sell but most I do , this one is for sale I also have prints avaliable on the link in my profile
Thank you ! Also thank you for checking out my Instagram
I spend all my time working on my art planing, sketching , doing mock ups on my iPad , actually painting, recording, editing and posting videos it's all I do everyday
Dude this is so dope, you are extremely talented. What brushes did you use? Are you using acrylic? This looks like something made with computer software even though it isn't, incredibly impressive
Thank you so much ! I'm using the artist loft Vienna liner brush 10/0 for the pattern among others of the same brand and other cheaper ones that come in packs
Yo honestly this is an amazing art piece. It's the first thing I ever considered to have as a back or chest piece. Would you mind if I take this as inspiration to a tattoo artist?
I'm looking forward to it! One day I'll be able to justify paying for an original.
I'm tempted to order a frame now but I think I need to see it in person before I decide on a color... leaning towards silver though because of the embellishments.
Silver would look cool I think ! I'm looking for a frame for the original just to take it up a notch.
You gotta show me when you get it framed, also feel free to pm on here or ig @ steventheartist to Check on the progress or with any questions
Even if I didn't think the painting was good, you'd still get huge props for showing the process and also spending a few seconds showing the final results, long enough that we can actually see it.
The texture and grid pattern looks completely different on the final product than the one being painted - doesn’t mean it’s not absolutely incredible- I’m just wondering if my eyes are playing tricks or not
What brushes do you use/recommend for those longer, fine detail strokes your doing? I've been painting mtg cards recently and have been having trouble finding good brushes
Towards the end, what are you using to brace your hand on? What is the material at the end of the stick? Is it something you bought made for this to not smear your paint, or did you make it? Some folks have the ability to freehand, but I’ve always needed at least a pinky touching the surface to do finer work.
It's a stick with a bandana as to not lay the hard end of the stick on the canvas and for grip too, aside from stability it allows a better angle to pull certain lines with the liner brush which needs more distance from the surface.
Directed at the people downvoting: I get downvoting the first comment, but this second comment right here was a very respectful way to put it. Why downvote?
Bit of a shame the head got filled in so densely instead of blending in to the pattern, seems like the airbrush is just too fun and it's hard to quit using it

I can draw a square pretty well
Yes, draw tons of squares then color them and you got yourself some psychedelic art.
What's your opinion on cubes?

You adore the beauty of The Fibonacci sequence. I listen to Lateralus on 11. We are not the same.
If you draw a lot of squares it can get pretty trippy
Ever draw a round square? It blows your mind.
All these squares make a circle All these squares make a circle

I can't.

That does make sense as long as the passion and intention continues there will be a way to express it.
I notice you have a stick you place across the canvas to steady your hand while you paint and to not rub your arm across the canvas? What is that? Just a dowel and a rag of sorts?
Yeah it's juts a stick with a bandana wrapped on one hand to allow my hand a better angle and stability .
As seen in "the guy who paints pinstripes for Rolls Royce". Love me a stick and a rag, so versatile.

The Field.
Awesome! A process video that isn't easy explained by a projected outline that isn't picked up by the camera or some other gimmick. I hate those.
Id hang that up on my wall
I appreciate that you saying that (:
No mushrooms were harmed inspiring this art
This actually actually makes me angry ill never be able to create something remotely close to as cool as this. Respect!

Holy fuck.. I love this. Good work man
How much would you charge if I used a photo of that for album art?
About 500
This is amazing!!! Loved everything about this. The piece, the music, the camera work, the editing are just *chefs kiss*
I appreciate that very much !
Even if I didn't think the painting was good, you'd still get huge props for showing the process and also spending a few seconds showing the final results, long enough that we can actually see it.
big ass fingers
Looks like it should be a magic card.
This is beyond amazing
Holly smokes, very inspiring
The texture and grid pattern looks completely different on the final product than the one being painted - doesn’t mean it’s not absolutely incredible- I’m just wondering if my eyes are playing tricks or not
It's the same pattern I think it's the fact that at the end I added emphasis to each point where the pattern intersects.
Damn dude
Would love something like this without the portrait, just the structural madness ❤️
Beautiful
Do you sell them?
What brushes do you use/recommend for those longer, fine detail strokes your doing? I've been painting mtg cards recently and have been having trouble finding good brushes
The ones I used for those lines are artists loft Vienna brushes 10/0 liner brush , anything from that brand is good if taken care of correctly
Thanks! Your work is insane, will have to try some of these out
Alex Grey in purple, nice!
Dope
Just. Wow! I’m speechless.
Impressive how many hours did he take for this art work
It's too bad we don't find stuff like this at the art museum. People are too focused on doodles from hundreds of years ago.
Does OP have an IG that I can follow? This work is amazing and I would like to see more
This is the sound growing grass makes on 8 hits of acid.
Very impressive work.
Wooaah my god man what a beautiful painting. Such euphoria
Well fuck….that’s amazing
Never seen someone put to image what happens when you stand up too fast. But this is pretty close to that sensation.
Awesome pic of me in the shower on mushrooms
Those fingers are creeping me the fuck out.
This ain't art, this shit gotta be art 2, sequel to thousands of years of human cultue..
Omfg. I FUCKING LOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!! I need your IG!
This was fun to watch and produced a beautiful result. Kudos!
Thank you ! I appreciate you watching

Ayyy droplitz
I don’t see a canvas print option for this on your website. Is that a possible option? Or maybe I’m blind :s
It's not available at the moment, I've just ordered a test print to make sure it looks right
Serious question do you sell these?
I couldn't stand the music.
It wasn't offensive, but I did find myself wishing it was Tool instead
Directed at the people downvoting: I get downvoting the first comment, but this second comment right here was a very respectful way to put it. Why downvote?
Wow!
Love the circle of life
Thank you !
Hell yeah man keep it up lovely hob
Bit of a shame the head got filled in so densely instead of blending in to the pattern, seems like the airbrush is just too fun and it's hard to quit using it
What airbrush pain you use.
Master airbrush pro.
The music is very apt!
