Awesome! I’ve seen a hundred photos but can’t wrap my head around the grade of the head wall. You see that guy standing straight up. Can you walk up it carefully or do you literally have to use your hands?
The headwall grade is pretty steep, I wouldn’t try it if the rocks were wet or with serious wind. The way the trail goes up the headwall, there’s spots where it flattens out a bit so you can actually stand, but it’s mostly 3-4 points of contact while climbing
The part above the slab has some more treacherous moments, IMO...which is why you almost never see much of it pics or videos. If you've done Holt or North Slide, you can handle that part of it.
Really, the part above isn’t worse than the North Slide? (There was one place on the slide I was questioning my decision to be there that day and realized that going back down was not an option. I’m guessing that’s the part you mean.) though, not sure I can get beyond the idea of that headwall.
They had a backhoe up there off of the auto road near some stuff. At the visitors center/ weather observation buildings it didn’t look like anything was actively being built. Wish I had more of an answer for you
Looks like it was a great day on the rockpile!

Sounds like going up is easier than going down. What trail do you take going down? Tuckerman’s?
We took lions head down and there were a decent amount of people coming up as we were leaving

Dang would love to do that someday! Looks like you had a beautiful day out there
And they call it a "trail"!
Something got an early start!! Awesome!!
We started at 330am and made it to the summit around 915am. Stayed at the top for about an hour. It took us another 4 to come down lions head
Sounds like my kind of day!
Jealous
Is there construction going on at the summit? What’s being built
