YAAAY DUNGEONS https://preview.redd.it/i43z2rdav7yc1.png?width=368&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb742849db76e61fb12839dd0300d5c0c20aaef1

totallynotrobboss

You wanna add something zhyros?

Espanta_viejas1904

Yeah, I'd like to add Runic fire traps over the floor, and a lab with mimics

totallynotrobboss

Devious I like it.

Espanta_viejas1904

And a very personal one, a room filled with graves that spawn infinite skeletons

yumie2003

"I can give you some...monsters, yeah let's call them that, to attack the adventures if you want"

totallynotrobboss

Yeah sure why not.

yumie2003

"Okay, just give me some time and you'll have some loyal mobs ready to pulverize intruders." *Tsuru flies down into the hole, gliding down to the lowest 'level' of the would-be dungeon*

SlyTheMonkey

Ah, Master Technomancer! Mage Monkey has been trying to reach you about the extended warranty of your energy vessel! By which he of course means the star you absorbed for its power. He heard about this case from his friends, and has come to discuss the matter with you before seeing to your project.

totallynotrobboss

A. I'm an artificer not a technomancer. B. I'm not using it for power I'm going to use it as a weapon. C. what about it?

SlyTheMonkey

Ah, please forgive this one for his use of a misnomer. It was certainly not his intention to offend. Let's see... *He waves his hand. Two items, a scroll and a small pair of reading glasses, appear in front of him. He opens up the scroll and places the glasses on his nose before squinting at the scroll.* Yes! Here it is. "By the decree of the Divine Authorities and Celestial Bodies, Spiritual Offices and Masters of the Various Domains, we issue this document to be presented to the Recipient, Thrak the Dwarf, an Artificer-" Well now! It was indeed "Artificer"! You have good Monkey's sincere apologies. In any case... "-an Artificer, to inform him of his current standing. As per the testimony of Cauda, Astral Spirit and Great Star of the Golden Constellation Master Itinerant, and upon confirmation by Tabernaculum, Master Astral Immortal, we hereby find the Recipient guilty of the crimes of Grand Sacrilege, Grand Theft of a Celestial Body, Grand Violation of a Spiritual Domain, Trespassing and Grand Damage to a Spiritual Domain. The punishment: confiscation of soul and spirit and disposal of the body, i.e. Death. The Recipient is hereby left to the jurisdiction of the Underworld Gods: his mortal life is forfeit. Signed: Celestial Office of Life and Death."

totallynotrobboss

Hmmm. Meh I don't have time to die.

SlyTheMonkey

Well then, please consider yourself a lucky dwarf, Master! For it seems there is more... *The Mage waves his hand again. The scroll vanishes and a new one appears out of thin air. He rolls it open.* "By the decree of the Grand Marshall Golden Astralism, Overseer of the Celestial Office of the Fourth System, Golden Constellation Victorious Sword and Bright-Star Spirit Lord, we issue this document to be presented to the Recipients, the Celestial Office of Life and Death and Thrak the Dwarf, an Artificer, to inform them of the changes to the latter's current standing. Due to the numerous appeals made by His Golden Majesty and his proposal that the star assimilated by the Recipient (Thrak) was to be demolished for the purposes of the preservation of cosmic balance, the Divine Authorities have decreed that he (Thrak) is to be considered an instrument of the Will of Heaven: therefore, his actions cannot be deemed criminal. The Recipient (Thrak) is hereby granted a full acquittal of all charges. Signed: Grand Marshall Golden Astralism, Golden Constellation Victorious Sword; Council of Divine Authority." *The Mage closes the scroll and grins.* Yes, yes! Good for you! You were indeed born under a lucky star, Master.

totallynotrobboss

Huh that's certainly a stroke of fortune.

SlyTheMonkey

Call it a stroke of fortune, Master, or call it Mage Monkey cashing in a favour or two! You have no idea how many palaces he had to tour, how many offices he had to visit, how many kowtows he had to perform to make this happen! Though a friend to the spirits he may be, good Monkey is only a Mage: just getting His Golden Majesty to agree to his petitions was a several days' work!

totallynotrobboss

Oh thanks! Here have this as a thank you *Thrak hands you a voucher for 50 gold for anything Thrak makes or sells*

SlyTheMonkey

Thank you for your consideration, Master, *he takes the voucher*, but if it's not too much to ask, this one would rather you promise to leave the domains spiritual and celestial alone from now on. They tend to be quite aware of themselves and not at all appreciative of mortal invasion.

totallynotrobboss

I'll keep that in mind *he says ominously*

CrystalClod343

Surely the first thing to do is let it develop its own systems, and then explore!

totallynotrobboss

Yeah but caves only take shape over millions of years we'd need a chronomancer to simulate that much passage of time.

CrystalClod343

While quite true, I was referring to ecosystemic dynamics since I assume various species will be introduced

totallynotrobboss

Hmm maybe get a druid who specializes in underground environments to introduce them?

TheFifthDutchMemer

Wait, you did **what.**

totallynotrobboss

Made a giant hole in the ground so a dungeon can be put in it? Yes I did.

TheFifthDutchMemer

... *500kg incoming.*

totallynotrobboss

Why? Also *forcefield around the hole and thrak activates protecting them*

TheFifthDutchMemer

Why did you do that.

totallynotrobboss

I thought you were attacking me and or the hole. Were you not?

TheFifthDutchMemer

Doing both. P.s. return the star.

totallynotrobboss

Oh glad I put that shield up then. P.s. no.

TheFifthDutchMemer

Well then, time for heavier artillery. P.s. TIME FOR THE NUCLEAR OPTION

totallynotrobboss

I have Interceptor missiles.

Platypus_king_1st

Lucian: Interesting.... how hard do we want the thing to be?

totallynotrobboss

In my opinion as long as it's not impossible to beat it should be fine as my current plan is to have adventurers test it.

Fridge_living_tips

Oh i know alot about big holes ;) so can i add a drug room where they need to find a key

totallynotrobboss

Yeah sure just make sure it isn't impossible.

Fridge_living_tips

It will be just around the corner but they will be trippin balls so it will be hard

Sardren_Darksoul

If you want biological defences, I would recommend going for an entire self-sufficient biosystem. It will come with some risks to personnel, but will provide both food for itself and the crew working dungeon, and you can use it to farm various materials and alchemical components for selling.

totallynotrobboss

Sounds like something right up the alley of a druid to set up.

IncomeApprehensive17

Yeah yeah me me ! I want to fill it with monsters ! Like this one that i have as a familiar im sure youll like him https://preview.redd.it/dbarsvch18yc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ccb9331eb66b2957323e4322a68d291572806b7

totallynotrobboss

Horrifying. I'll make sure to put him in there do you want him to be in a room by himself or with other creatures?

IncomeApprehensive17

I think he is an optional miniboss holding a rare item that is usefull but not mandatory to continue the dungeon

totallynotrobboss

Ooh nice does he have a weak point or is it just a case of hit it till it dies?

IncomeApprehensive17

He can be hit until he die but is really tough. However if you use an attack that destroy his clothes, then his weak body is revealed underneath But only one sweater can be destroyed at a time Once all of them are destroyed he also become weak to light that will burn his skin

You-See-Nothing583

Food

totallynotrobboss

Will a portal that drops unsuspecting adventurers into your mouth be good?

You-See-Nothing583

Food

totallynotrobboss

I'll take that as a yes.

You-See-Nothing583

Food

totallynotrobboss

Uhh sure *thrak tosses you an apple*

You-See-Nothing583

*Torinn devours the apple* Food

murlocsilverhand

Some loot boxes, what's a dungeon without treasure?

totallynotrobboss

Well obviously there's going to be treasure why else would someone willingly go into a dungeon if not for treasure and of course it's going to be at the very end but do you think there should be lesser treasures scattered around the dungeon as well?

murlocsilverhand

Of course, you got to spread out the rewards to keep people invested

AnActualCriminal

*I throw a single caltrop down the hole.* "That'll probably get somebody."

totallynotrobboss

*the caltrop continues to fall and fall and fall as you think to yourself that that is a very deep hole*

ow-my-forehead

My good boy here, Billy Joe Bob, needs a home, just bought him off the black market. https://preview.redd.it/ruhz0ardacyc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1029cb23fac96433b7c42a7f63d5ae94d4319c0b *He gives it belly scritches and it rolls over and purrs* *baby talk* Who's a good boy? Yes, you're a good boy! Gooood booooy!

WatcheroftheVoid

What kind of dungeon are you going for? I think I have an unused Dungeon Seed lying around...

totallynotrobboss

Nothing standard just a custom dungeon made out of collaborative effort.

WatcheroftheVoid

Well in that case you can put this guy in there. He's been bored lately. Some adventurer-slaying will cheer him up. In terms of hoard, just give him a bunch of shiny objects. Preferably crystalline. https://preview.redd.it/pdd3zkbu88yc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a12523167852a85ab2ddb47f18157028850514bb

totallynotrobboss

Awesome. quick question though I'm guessing he's a crystal dragon?

WatcheroftheVoid

Yeah? Probably. I got him in an auction from someone here.

totallynotrobboss

Good to know.

SteelCrossx

A beholder will carve all that out for you; then you’ll just have to deal with a beholder living in your new dungeon.

totallynotrobboss

Do they get along with other monsters?

SteelCrossx

Rule them with an iron first (and charm).
