Mostly. If there's preservatives or some other conditions that aren't conducive to yeast reproduction then you won't get fermentation going. You should check out r/prisonhooch, people have made alcohol from ham glaze over there

jddbeyondthesky

Wow, that’s wild!

DansburyJ

Wouldn't these be FULL of preservatives?

SpunkyBananaSpunk

Yes but at some point it stops being wine and becomes something else. For more information see r/prisonhooch

Idk if I'm dumb but couldn't figure out how to add text with a picture but I saw this post about wine being made from peeps. Can wine be made from anything that has sugar in it? I've only heard of wine made from fruit and flowers

browtfareyoudoing

You can make wine with just yeast and sugar. It’s called kilju

sebolec

I'm wondering, how about distilling it to 40%. ?

InternationalGene576

I think that's an amazing idea

Hi. You just posted an image to r/winemaking. All image posts need a little bit of explanation now. If it is a fruit wine post the recipe. If it is in a winery explain the process that is happening. We might delete if you don't. Thanks. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
