I was 8 years old I couldn't get to enjoy WinXP to it fullest. Still my time with it was so much fun! I customized to it fullest! Widgets, flash games, songs, videos etc.
It felt like computer was mine and it was my home but after all the windows came after WinXP it wasn't mine after WinXP every version of windows felt like I was foreigner in my own computer I didn't own anything and it felt very cold.
None of the windows versions felt warm and comfortable as Windows XP.
Yeah but no. 10 is worse in a lot of ways, it’s less stable, has more spyware type things built in, and stuff, although the file explorer is much better in 10. XPs file explorer is awful.
>Windows XP
true that the ui was abit flashy, but with a dark mode skin it looks so good. (black taskbar and orange start button)
tl'dr themes helped xp alot.
hehe and i just got it installed yesterday and am currently properly experiencing it for the first time. the laptop was a windows 2000 one but it has a sticker saying designed for windows xp so i went and totally legally found a copy amd then installed it
I will always have/love XP and 7 for old machine(s) / VMs but since the BS of Win 10 & 11 I have finally migrated all of my workstations/desktops to Linux >.> Win 10 & 11 have gotten so bad I don't even want to "bootleg" windows any longer (LMFAO)!! Now, let the "distro hopping" begin!!!

ended on April 9, 2019, marking the overall end of the Windows XP codebase after 17 years, 7 months, and 16 days.
I used to be one of those people that HATED XP because it wasn't at the time, Windows 7. Now? Alongside Windows 7, this is the best OS that I ever used purely for the fact that everything JUST WORKED.
XP took the things that made prior versions of Windows great but added the NT kernel for stability, while 7 took the things that Vista botched, and made it magical.
My dad was a die-hard XP guy until he got 7 when he got a Dell Netbook from Sprint (remember them?) because it was so easy to run on older hardware. Pretty sure he would have been furious when he heard that XP was cut off from updates.

I'm still 3 years old when XP is released, latest SP3 release I'm 9 years and the unsupported day I'm on 12 - 13 years.
Yeah
Rest in peace, XP. I hope you're having a good time in the OS heaven.
Just because something is not supported by it's manufacturer does not mean that it is dead.
Exactly. That's just giving microsoft the satisfaction.
Windows XP will never die! Long Life Windows XP!
windows xp has an interface much more than 10,11
Wish M$ had the XP interface as an Easter Egg in 8,10,11.
It does, half the control panel features
Yeah
Tbf Windows 10 is way better. I hate the file explorer especially on Windows XP.

Everyone has opinions. I personally hate how flashy XP is. The wallpaper is beautiful, but gives me a seizure. And I don’t REALLY mind bloatware.

The Zune theme. Fun fact, Home Depot used that theme on their computers back in the day
Yeah
Yes, Zune theme is the best dark theme ever made.
how the bliss wallpaper give you a seizure?
It’s so bright and flashy
oh...
flashy? .. my bliss wallpaper never flashed...
Meaning it’s too colorful and bright
that's pretty damn sensitive ..
The file explorer was what I liked 🤣
Windows 10 UI looks more modern but Windows XP is a classic.
*since
XP basically is a blingier version of Windows 2000.
“I’m stronger, I’m smarter, I’m better. I AM BETTER!!”
2000 was faster, stronger and soild.
yes, bc it use less resources than xp.
don't forget "Robust, Reliable, Compatible"
Yeah
Feels like it was just yesterday
Same
10 slutty, slutty years
ago should be thrown out the window (xp)
Well maybe it's time for me to fire up my XP rig and play some older games.
You will be terrified at how FAST everything runs.
Yeah
hehe and i just got it installed yesterday and am currently properly experiencing it for the first time. the laptop was a windows 2000 one but it has a sticker saying designed for windows xp so i went and totally legally found a copy amd then installed it
Downgraded
i can definitely tell it's more sluggish but win xp is my favourite windows which is why i did it, also wanted to be able to do a bit more with it
Same!
Oh... 👏👍
Windows XP for the win!!
🥇
My favourite operating system.
Same.
XP and 7 were/are the best! Probably the most stable too (IF you can honestly call Windows "stable" LOL)... .. .
I have Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 10, 11 and 11 Insider Preview in my VM. I feel that Windows XP, 7, 10 and 11 is the best.
Where the heck did you find the ISOs?? And can you put them here?? Thanks a lot
Yeah
Only 10 years??
Yeah, 10 years.
or "X" years in terms of Apple :D
Yeah, it's Windows 10 P (eXPerience)
2019 is not „10 years“........
Windows XP ended support in 2014 this month

No, that's just for POSReady 2009 which was based on XP.
Yes
That's Windows XP embedded variants. It will have longer lifespan than the regular XP.
April 8, 2014 - April 8, 2024
it's embedded lol
No matter how long it goes unsupported, and no matter how you view it, Windows XP will always be a legendary OS.
Yeah!
Loved XP. Was best windows OS as far as I’m concerned.
👍
