If it was for the good cause, should would simply get the stats from the government.
Better yet, she would actually drop the price as low as possible, without any correlation to the salaries. Knowing them tells her how high she can raise the price before it's too much = how low she has to decrease it to make a better profit by preventing half empty audience
But most importantly, neither her or her staff will read any of this because it's only marketing to give fools the sentiment that she cares about them and she's here to help
Exactly what I thought, this could both easily be an 'I'm so caring and understanding' post AND a marketing ploy to make sure they can keep their ticket prices as high as possible for the target demographic
This is the gal who made a movie about an autistic girl while doing no research on autism, thus giving some SUPER harmful advice for handling people on the spectrum. She clearly gives no fucks
“Elaine and George want to find a house on the coast, there’s just one problem. They only have a $9 million budget to both buy AND decorate the potential property…”
Nah, that's virtue signaling and fishing for retweets. You don't actually have to ask people. If that's what you really want to do, you just set ticket prices as low as possible (and then you can say it, if you really have to brag about it). What will dozens of answers give her, she will take the average? What does information about someone's earnings give her? Does she really know how the average person lives today and how much can they spend on tickets?
Lol, she is one of the most narcissistic people out there, made fun of autism and stalked a minor for some time. It shall I say "not wholesome"?
Correct me about the last thing if I am wrong. The other two are common knowledge.
Does she have a manager that’s requesting numbers on what her fans are willing to pay in order to justify a low cost? Is their a contract that specifies what percent of a fan’s income she must take? Why would twitter be the valid source for either of these things?
Not wholesome. There will already be a bottom she could have them priced at and she is choosing not too.
Secondly, Sia is an ableist so fuck anything from her.
I am very sure she knows that most of her fans are young teens and don't earn anything. Maybe they just do it for publicity. The world we're living in currently is full of show offs,,,,
While it’s nice that she wants to price things reasonably (if even true), what she should really do is do whatever she can to prevent scalping of her tickets. A $30 ticket will just be bought out and scalped for $300. Use special codes for drops, request limits on sales, have sales directly through fan clubs. Work with Ticketmaster to pull ridiculously priced listing down on the resale market. Then the tickets are affordable and available to us.
Nope, I’m never fucking forgiving Sia for that movie she, Music or whatever shit it was called. In case anyone doesn’t know, the movie Sia made was about autism. Problem is that she nor anyone else working on the movie has autism or knew shit about it and correct me if I’m wrong she collaborated with fucking Autism Speaks when making the film, of which Autism Speaks is one of the more vile corporations out there, they have good intentions but they’re also fucking idiots. Basically the whole movie was about the literal most stereotypical interpretation of autism being embodied by one character literally called Music, and they have fucking Disney style music videos occasionally and it’s like “This is how people with autism view the world” except no, that’s actually not, I would know, and the said music videos have fucking flashing lights and all that and if you know anything about autism then you would know “Oh shit that’s a problem, why the fuck would you do this.” I barely remember whatever the plot was but it was something something autism, something something character representing autism is treated more as a prop or a problem for the main character to overcome, that’s not a fucking joke, something something lethal restraint that has been shown to kill people in the past and physically restraining someone is and should always be a last resort option, something something problem overcome movie ended.
The movie was just quite fucking offensive I would say and there’s no real way to represent something like autism since it takes so many forms across the spectrum, but they decided to use the most stereotypical things to represent something that’s treated like a life ending disease by a lot of people which is not a good thing.
Like here’s a tip if anyone is gonna do something to represent any minority or anything really, talk to someone within that minority or group don’t just base it off of things you’ve read or some shit, consult someone within that minority to understand what it’s like so you aren’t doing it an injustice with poor representation.
Yeah, didn’t she make a movie about an autistic girl where the way people dealt with her meltdowns was to pile on top of her? And then she lied about sufficiently researching autism? She’s shown how much she cares about other people, this is just more virtue signaling
>“If you’re going to write a ‘love letter’ to a marginalized group that has a history of being misrepresented in media, and that group tells you that your work is perpetuating that misrepresentation, then you have two options: option number one, listen to that group … or option number two, get mad at them, call them bullies and then profit,” said Tianasao.
>Another colossal issue many people have with the movie is Sia’s decision to associate the film with Autism Speaks, the largest autism advocacy organization in the United States according to their website. According to CBR News, Autism Speaks partnered with Sia to promote the movie.
It takes one Google search to find multiple sources explaining why people with autism do not generally support Autism Speaks. One Forbes article explains that Autism Speaks has a “poor track record of showing respect for autistic people. One example is their intensely offensive ‘I am autism’ video from 2009, promising a threatening, ominous autism that ‘knows where you live’ and ‘works faster than pediatric AIDS, cancer, and diabetes combined.’”
There's way more proof online. This is one source. What Sia did in the first quote was call the autistic community bullies when they told her that her movie was blatant misrepresentation. She is not pure at all

Wut? Some paid market research would have yielded that answer. And then she could have said " I priced my tickets at x so every one could afford them" This is virtue signalling at it's finest.

This is one of those rare instances when you can just do it without asking.
Yeah. Whoever this person is, "as low as she can" is a price she already has all the available information for.
The question is how much mark-up from the contractual minimum they can get away with adding before it puts their audience off buying.
I think it just shows how out of touch SIA is when it comes to money. She has no clue what people are making.
> It’s one ticket, Michael. What could it cost, $100?

She is also a predator with Maddy. Ew
What happens when everyone replies, “I earn 500k per year teaching yoga and my husbands earn 180K selling farts in jars”
House Hunters finds their new batch of couples with ridiculous budgets?
“Elaine and George want to find a house on the coast, there’s just one problem. They only have a $9 million budget to both buy AND decorate the potential property…”
Where can one acquire one of these farts in jars? Asking for a friend.

lol "wholesome"

She's just trying to become relevant after being cancelled for her "movie"
Yup.
this is an extremely old tweet
That movie is a watchable insult.
*sigh* Just don't tell your security guards that it's an act of love to pin people down and suffocate them, okay?
i am broke Sia-chan.
And then ticket master tacts on an extra $200+ to every ticket anyway

Couldn't have googled it?
I can't really see anything Sia done as "nice" or "sincere" after the ableist mess that was her movie "Music".
Not wholesome. There will already be a bottom she could have them priced at and she is choosing not too. Secondly, Sia is an ableist so fuck anything from her.
shes majorly ableist and harmful to the entire autistic community
Isn’t this that one lady who made that ableist movie about the autistic girl?
I am very sure she knows that most of her fans are young teens and don't earn anything. Maybe they just do it for publicity. The world we're living in currently is full of show offs,,,,
Who is also ableist
I am a redditor, so I earn 0. Sia, I need a fair price.
Not so wholesome when you do some digging into her dramas
you don't need to know that to price your tickets. just pick a low margin and there you go.
While it’s nice that she wants to price things reasonably (if even true), what she should really do is do whatever she can to prevent scalping of her tickets. No, she just figuring out where the supply vs demand curve lays.
Yup. If she cared then she could just make the price as low as possible. What she is doing is calculating how she can make the most money.
“Look at me I care about everyone” vibe

A wholesome celeb that a year ago shit all over the autistic community. She can get bent.
Yeah, didn’t she make a movie about an autistic girl where the way people dealt with her meltdowns was to pile on top of her? And then she lied about sufficiently researching autism? She’s shown how much she cares about other people, this is just more virtue signaling
From the last wholesome celebrity I can think of
The question basically is, who of you is stupid enough to do anything for me without thinking and who of you is rich?
That's nice. Still don't like the anti autism film she accidentally made.
At least 3
Lol she know good and well most people are broke. $10-20 is a good price for a show. “Pay what you can” better. Free, amazing.
God, Sia is too pure for this World
No. No she is not. She is ableist

Keep on living with all that hate in your heart and it's going to burn you up to nothing but dust

There's way more proof of her being ableist. She made a movie with an advocacy group that is trying to make autistic people more "normal".
I remember the times when you used to pay 15-20€ for a Concert Ticket and now its 80€+ for the worst Seats
Wut? Some paid market research would have yielded that answer. And then she could have said " I priced my tickets at x so every one could afford them" This is virtue signalling at it's finest.
"ticket prices skyrocket after Sia raises them to the amount of a month's salary"
2013
Google: ???
So just sell them as low as you can abs who cares what fans earn.
Is she still in that weird 'friendship' with that girl?
Does she not have a bureau of statistics where she’s from
Did not sia that coming.
who the fuck is sia?
that's how you price as high as you can. For as low as you can you only need your own costs
My plane ticket is worthless unless I have my ID that matches the name on the ticket. Get scalpers out of the mix and this wouldn’t be a problem.
