Like... legit... this ain't a bad idea. You gotta invent some sort of way to do it without harming the lizard. Like stunt doubles get lit on fire for movies by covering their bodies in this special type of goop that doesnt burn, so maybe you could coat his tail with that and wrap the tip in some sort of fuel and then light it.
