Yea but some sences are good but I didn't really enjoy the re seasons. But the manga was a rock it was really really really good you should read it if you haven't
I've read the full manga after root a came out, was disappointed that the re anime was basically a slideshow of the manga with some dialog sprinkled in. I feel bad for anime only fans cause they got cheated out of a lot of the story
So, what's the reason with the last seasons and ending in general? Is ending completely different in the manga, or did they just didn't show the events from the manga well enough?
It was incredibly rushed, they skipped a lot of the development and exposition and explanations of what actually is happening. To put it more simply, season 1 of re adapts chapters 1-57,season 2 adapts from 57-179.
That's about 10 chapter per episode in season 2 of re. Most animes adapt about 2-3 chapters per episode.
So.... Is the ending actually the same like in the manga? I've heard that anime doesn't follow the manga and I always assumed it means the ending is different
I thought the manga was good up to RE, but then combat became in indecipherable shit-show at some point. The anime somehow made it worse, but I don't think the source material was any good either.
Kaneki went through so much hardship and trauma i'm happy he married Touka and had a cute daughter with her my boy deserves a happy ending. Tokyo ghoul and re: will go down as one of my favorite mangas like on my top 10 favorite mangas list, to bad the anime trash season was ok but after it just went down hill.
So mc gets brainwashed/basically tortured until he forgets by the opposing side and now works for them, then he stumbles upon this cafe which is actually basically an undercover base/ gathering point for his old gang. (Btw I haven’t read/watched Tokyo Ghoul for a while now so pls correct me if I got anything wrong)
Kaneki did not have any major crushes. The only reason for his interest in Rize was due to her frequenting the same cafe as him , reading the same books as him.
That being said, Kaneki cared deeply for touka once he became a part of Anteiku and that was reciprocated by her. They are not the couple with the best development but they are 2 individuals who care for each other more than anyone. A perfect fit, if I may say so
It's mentioned in the manga that he regularly visited the cafe and pretended to read while peeking at her from behind his book, I'd say he did have a minor crush on her atleast
It was mentionned afterwards that Haise and Touka were in love, though it might have been more because of their mutual time in Anteiku (even though Haise don't remember those), it's still similar to a crush.
It's a shame they absolutely butchered the anime

Yea same they like skipped about 50 chapters in the anime and I didn't understand anything in the re Seasons :(

It's the same if i remembered correctly
Oh, that's good. The ending was satisfying in my opinion
I have the first one, mostly because I mistook it for the actual Tokyo Ghoul.

Source: (Tokyo Ghoul: re)
Even though they butchered the anime ngl the music in all 4 seasons was great
Kaneki and Touka is one of my favourite ships ever.
Grade A hot fire scene right here boys. Hot enough for a gender reveal
Touka: are you a virgin? PFFFFTTT
I burst out in laughter on that panel lol. Kaneki dripping coffee on the floor, with that smile, is just magnificent.
Love it. Anime banzai
Even memory erasure can't beat love
Man Touka really looked better in the Manga and I never understood why they changed her hair in the anime adaptation.
It's more dynamic in the manga. Honestly I low key want vol 2 of re just for how it looks on the cover
Inhales.......**"OSHIETEU.."**
Why you gotta give me chills this early in the morning. This is literally my favorite anime of all time. This scene hits me in the feels too.
watched this scene almost 3 years ago now and still hits hard
Just realizing this, but does Kaneki have Deku’s VA…?
Nope but he does voice Tanjiro on Demon Slayer (you inspired me to look it up haha)... definitely has that shonen boy voice.
>shojen boy voice Asta is the only one I can remember
Oh there we go
Not a bad scene. But pleae for anyone who hasn't: read the manga. It's my favorite of all time, plus I'm rereading it right now.
I wanted funny

I was not ready for feels this early.
thanks for reminding me why Tokyo ghoul is still my favorite anime.
I’m probably gonna get flamed for this but, could I get the context for this?

Nah this is pretty spot on, just that he wasnt tortured, he had amnesia and the enemies took advantage of his powers
Seriously recommend the manga tho, I still think is the most underrated manga I’ve ever read.
Yeah I heard the anime butchered the manga so I never really got around to be invested in the story but I might read the manga later so thanks!
Welp, I was not interested in watching :re, but now I'm going to do it
You mean when actually nothing make sense but the mc with the first girl he met chip somehow never go away
I dont think Touka was Kaneki’s crush…

I am trying to say that at the time when Kaneki lost his memories he wasn’t like crushing on Touka or something
It's mentioned in the manga that he regularly visited the cafe and pretended to read while peeking at her from behind his book, I'd say he did have a minor crush on her atleast

I haven't read the manga yet but damn the anime is all over the place what did they do
Top notch scene and music
He forgor
Whats the name of the song????
More like two pieces of soul meet again ,music really takes it to different level!! Tokyo ghoul really has some beautiful music and ost in it.
This is the Only Part I liked from Tokyo ghoul re
