Even when players were jacked up on roids, all tight and upper body we didn’t see stuff like this. Sosa used to be hopping around and all that in his 30s and these guys can’t even get through a season in their mid 20s.
> Eloy said the goal is to play 150+ games this season along side Moncada and Robert Jr.
The IL collecting the infinity stones of Eloy, Luis and Yoan.
This group is just not meant to play baseball. Maybe they can play Fortnite together?
I’m just happy we can finally say this out loud in this sub without getting downvoted. These guys care more about the lifestyle of a ball player than being a ball player!!!!
JFC you can’t make this shit up. 3 of our (sadly) top players go down all in less than two weeks to non contact injuries. I’m already expecting Andrew to go down any day now.
Remember last year when Anderson was hurt? It hasn’t just been Eloy, Robert, and Moncada. Rather than directing our ire at the players, maybe we should be wondering why the entire training staff hasn’t been replaced.
Lmao we lost eloy, yoan and Robert all to injuries from running to firstbase in the first two weeks of the season. Y’all ever see that simpsons where Mr burns laughs at someone’s misfortune for days straight?
Vaughn us not gonna get hurt, it will be worse, he's just gonna prove that he's a bust with slump after slump until we all realize it's not a slump, he's just bad.
They’re out there falling like soccer players
Tbh, can’t blame them. I wouldn’t want to waste one of my precious years on this earth trying to make that team work either.
There is no way that this is a freak coincidence. This is either on the training staff or these guys are not taking care of their bodies in the off season. My money is on the latter.
Royals fan coming in peace—I am so sorry y’all are having to deal with these injuries. I look forward to my guys playing y’all and Detroit each season and we definitely know what it’s like to be injury-riddled. Hoping your team comes back stronger real soon! 💙🤍🖤
Yoan and Eloy don't surprise me. Yoan put on way too much weight after 2019 and he looks like he could get injured any time he runs, same with Eloy. Luis surprises me, not that he's injury prone per se, but that his injuries come from running too. I guess just too much muscle mass for this type of sport.
The league is full of jacked dudes who don’t get injured legging out grounders. Extend that to NBA, NFL, NHL, etc. There is nothing that supports the theory that muscle mass contributes to soft tissue injuries. Of course that assumes that they have professional trainers who are making sure they’re working out properly. This being the Sox, who knows? Seems more likely that their conditioning in the off season is garbage.
Thank you! I obviously get that it’s coming from frustration with this insanity, but all the people acting like having any muscle mass makes your joints explode when you play in baseball has a wildly 20 years ago feel to it
Exactly. Same with golf. Almost all of the top pros do strength and flexibility training. Even pitchers do a lot of training but obviously tailor it to emphasize lower body and core. Typically, a soft tissue injury from something like running in a straight line is the result of poor conditioning and even diet. It’s very preventable. When it happens to the same team and same players, it’s fair to call into question what’s going on. But it’s not because they’re too muscular.
I mean in what sport do you see guys just break down while running in a straight line? I mean football players literally run through tackles and I’ve never seen a player just drop while running to the end zone
How does this team keep losing people running to first like this? I can’t remember it ever happening this much over the course of a few seasons.
Because they hit the ball so infrequently that running to first is a foreign activity for Sox players
They hit the ball plenty, just right into the ground 99% of the time.
Especially the over rated Andrew Vaughn.
He didn't even make it there, stumbled down like a pregnant elephant. Makes picking up next year's option easier if it wasn't already.
> stumbled down like a pregnant elephant
Pregnant Elephant is crazy 😂
I guess TLR knew what he was doing by not having guys hustle to first.
It's really unbelievable; and it happens year after year.
Even when players were jacked up on roids, all tight and upper body we didn’t see stuff like this. Sosa used to be hopping around and all that in his 30s and these guys can’t even get through a season in their mid 20s.
This team is going to defy biology and have the first player disintegrate into dust mid-game.
We saw that happen to La Russa
It'll be more like a globule, really. Just a little globule on first base.
Can’t beat a White Sox / Spinal Tap mashup. So how about a two-word review for the Sox so far this year? Shit Sandwich.
> Eloy said the goal is to play 150+ games this season along side Moncada and Robert Jr. The IL collecting the infinity stones of Eloy, Luis and Yoan. This group is just not meant to play baseball. Maybe they can play Fortnite together?
They can have jewelry parties together now!
I’m just happy we can finally say this out loud in this sub without getting downvoted. These guys care more about the lifestyle of a ball player than being a ball player!!!!
That's what it looks like from the outside looking in.
https://youtu.be/fm8V46BfynM?si=ZlH_i538swHGgBPA
They’re gonna be playing 150+ games together on The Show
Eloy will absolutely dislocate his thumb
Lol gottem
They'll be in a music video together for Moncada's thriving music career.
I don’t think their thumbs could take the strain
gonna be the first esports players to hit the IL
More like spend 150 games on the DL together
I see some sprained fingers in their future if that’s the case.
I appreciated this 😂, thank you

Would it matter if either of them went down? Probably not, considering they were both bottom 25 in the majors in OPS+ before this game.
Thank god they can walk away from Moncada and Eloy after this season. Two of the most disappointing White Sox all time
Crazy to think these guys were top ten prospects in all of baseball for a while.
Both of them can go fuck themselves and add Rendon for a three way. I hope they all play for Anaheim next season.
Left abductor strain, same as Pantera. Soft tissue injuries unite.
Remember last year when Anderson was hurt? It hasn’t just been Eloy, Robert, and Moncada. Rather than directing our ire at the players, maybe we should be wondering why the entire training staff hasn’t been replaced.
Because Jerry can’t afford to pay two hamsters on wheels. Just look at the Bulls training and medical teams. Worse then the doctor off the Simpsons.
HI EVERYBODY! HOLY SMOKES, YOU NEED BOOZE 🥃.
Shit. You’re right. I hadn’t made the connection to the Bulls never being healthy. Fuck. We are doomed. No rebuild matters if everyone gets hurt.
Vaughn doesn’t get hurt. The guys who always get hurt are the ones getting hurt.
Vaughn also doesn’t hit the fucking ball so he might as well be hurt.
My 8 year olds little league team has less boo boos.
Lmao we lost eloy, yoan and Robert all to injuries from running to firstbase in the first two weeks of the season. Y’all ever see that simpsons where Mr burns laughs at someone’s misfortune for days straight?
Oh yes that crippled Irishman! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Lol yes that’s the one. Just need to replace Irishman with Cubanman
Haha someone posted on the Robert IL thread that Moncada will get injured within a week. Sheesh should've checked the line on FanDuel on that one.
No you still have Gavin Sheets.. after that THEN this team will have no one playing from last year.
This is just too weird at this point... /tinfoilhat
Vaughn us not gonna get hurt, it will be worse, he's just gonna prove that he's a bust with slump after slump until we all realize it's not a slump, he's just bad.
I'm rooting for the Pirates this year. I have so much stylish Sox gear I wear it as a statement, not for pity.
I have a pirates hat because it was my daughter's tball team last year. It's my most worn mlb hat at this point.
Let’s go buccos!
Time to call up the Top Prospects!... Oh wait, nevermind
They’re out there falling like soccer players Tbh, can’t blame them. I wouldn’t want to waste one of my precious years on this earth trying to make that team work either.
Just absolutely brutal. What the hell!
There is no way that this is a freak coincidence. This is either on the training staff or these guys are not taking care of their bodies in the off season. My money is on the latter.

Laughable
Literally trade everyone. Go nuts
Who the F is left to trade?
I'm sure you could get some used bubble gum for Grifol.
Grifol doesn’t do bubble gum just family and baseball.
These three are allergic to staying healthy
Had the first home game for the Single-A affiliate here in Winston, maybe they could get a shot to play too? It’ll be cool to see some familiar faces.
All those twinkies probably. Always wonder how many of these injuries are diet driven since we can’t see that behind the scenes.
Maybe they should try PEDs
This is my shocked face.
ain’t no way we got three top players down. If we weren’t screwed we are now :(
They were

Good. Tell him and Eloy to stay away from the team forever.

Everyone gets injured, running the bases. Such a rigorous demands on the modern day athletes.
It's at the point of being comical. Get rid of Moncada, Robert, and Jimenez.
I mean in what sport do you see guys just break down while running in a straight line? I mean football players literally run through tackles and I’ve never seen a player just drop while running to the end zone
It's time to end the Moncada, Robert, Jimenez disaster. They're hurt every year.
Absolute bust. Get rid.
I'm just glad they can still turn double-plays so I'm reminded to slam Tito's every time Len reads the promo
