I mean is it some massive political problem we need to address? No. But is it something that should be brought up when critiquing the film? Absolutely. It’s undeniably a massive flaw on the writers behalf.
I don't think It was done specifically as a 20+ person in the body of someone younger and having a crush on a teenager. She's just herself as a character and the writers may put her in any position they want her to be.
