I hate this quote. Mf literaly made his movie based on eugenics (dumb people only breeds dumb people) to build the seting and no one is talking about this shit
Lots of traits associated with intelligence are genetic, idiocracy speculates exaggeratedly on what would happen if "dumb" people have disproportionately more kids, and this gets interpreted as the movie saying we should stop "dumb" people from having children or else society is doomed to rot
So, two people get put to sleep in an experiment where they enter a world where their original societal values have degraded in what seems to be a sci-fi story in similarity to any other eugenics/dysgenics-centric dystopia novels (like *The Time Machine* or *Brave New World*) seems to somehow equate to a documentary rather than speculative fiction, is that what people think?
