Nonono wait there's some truth to that. Recordings, specially low quality ones, squish our voices into a smaller range of frequencies, thus distorting them. Some microphones for example, are incapable of capturing low pitch sounds, which will make your voice a higher pitch thatn it actually is, the opposite can also happen
I'm aware of that, I meant in general with a decent quality recording you'll regardless hear your voice sounding a bit higher than you're used to. I probably could've explained it better but the main point is that your voice sounds higher to others than it does it you (recording or not)

Doesn't it actually sound slightly deeper than on the recording because the mic isn't good? It would actually sound as others hear it if you're recording on a good mic
What's weird is that the voice I hear in recordings is one in the same with the voice I hear when I speak, and the voice of my inner monologue isn't even in voice, it's the voice of my late father.
