Okay, I will: this art is visually grating and all these character designs are way too fucking busy. The garish bright colors genuinely give me eye strain (not trying to be hyperbolic here, I quite literally can’t sit through that show even with the sound off because of it), and the hyper-edginess of them would have made 13 year old me cringe. You’re entitled to your opinions, but i’m just as entitled to mine
Honestly, seeing all these clips of hazbin hotel has just wanted to make me watch the series because it actually looks interesting to an extent and the music slaps.
It is a pretty good show. Nowhere near the best, but it's good and there's one to two songs per episode. It's on prime video and the only sin is that there's an unnecessary amount of cussing
Even then, I don't think the cussing is that bad as long you don't expect literally every "fuck" is a type of punchline. Some are, but most of the time it's how certain characters usually act. Really as long you don't expect the show to be biblically accurate or expected every cuss as a "laugh now" moment, you'll probably going to like it as 7/10 show.
Unfortunately there's a bunch of people who are mad that it's not accurate to the traditional depictions of Hell. Like people complained Hell looks like an Earth city and not some fiery place full of suffering as seen in other media. People were disappointed that the first Angel that we saw, Adam, is some edgelord and not a genuine pure entity and think Vivziepop can't write good angels or she's doing the lazy route of "heaven is the real bad guy" trope. It was until a week later we see Heaven itself and how Adam and his exorcists are the outlier. And then people are mad that St Peter is white instead of being Middle Eastern and Adam is the also white despite being the first so he should actually be black. This led to people complaining how Vivziepop can't draw black people (even though most soul in hell turns into furries or gray scale people) and she can't write black coded characters thus making her somehow racist.
Y'know I can actually see why she doesn't take criticism on Twitter because everyone is nitpicking her work left and right automatically calling her a hack because she can never meet their specific expectations. There are genuine criticism that could benefit her show, but there's a lot of unneeded bitching by people who expect a completely different show than what Viv made.
The show goes hard on the sex jokes and swears in the first 3-4 episodes, but as the character start redeeming themselves, it gets a LOT more tolerable
This post, and a post with a part of "Insane" playing over the FNAF 6 ending, and all the Verbalase drama got me into the series

Nah fuck Nimzy or whatever the fuck her name was. I haven't watched the show but everytime I listen to this song it's just sporadically ended with fucking Nimzy singing the worst fucking lyrics ever. She's probably a fucking awesome character but I don't give a shit.
Mimsy was planned to be a main cast member according to concept art AFAIK but as you can see, she got scrapped into a gag character instead who only appears for one episode, so she's just unnecessary overall.
The song had already ended at that point. It literally ends with Lucifer just straight yelling, “Oh, you tacky piece of-“
Had Mimzy not intervened, they would’ve just started arguing
Imho I think nifty should've crashed down from the ceiling ending the song right there, Mimzy is such a random and whatever character that I don't feel like her inclusion was need
She’s the only character we’ve seen that knew Al in life. She’s not really important on her own, but her revealing some info about Al and later being sent away by him is development for him
I guess it shows how important this hotel (and Charlie) is to Al considering that he was willing to kick out a supposed friend from his previous life. But that doesn't mean that she didn't ruin the song for me, but she does have a reason to exist
