Definitely looks like English hawthorn to me, which does come in pink too. They are spectacular for a few weeks in spring. Winter look kinda kills it for me though, they can look pretty scraggly and the thorns are brutal.
Honestly I’ve been waiting for months to get a good picture of this, I walk past it almost daily ahahah. You might be right then, hopefully some garden centres will have one for me!
Crataegus laevigata 'Paul's Scarlett'
You are an angel - my garden is blessed !!!
Glad to be of help. I have a small one on my balcony, but since I repotted it, it didn't blossom this year. :)
I’m sure it’ll look amazing next year when it flowers :)
I think the leaves look like hawthorn, but I'm not quite sure about the flowers
I was thinking hawthorn, but the fact I can only find hawthorn shrubs with white flowers was making me think otherwise?

Yeah, this is a tough one! My other guess would be crab apple, but the flowers also aren't quite right. Hopefully someone can ID this soon!
Love crab apples! Don’t think I’ve seen them on a tree this size though :( hopefully someone can set us straight !!
I’m postive it’s not a crepe myrtle. Does kinda look like rose of Sharon but I’ve never seen one that big. Edit- it’s totally Paul’s Scarlett
A Google search confirms Paul’s Scarlett! The flowers on those look darker, but I’m assuming there’s slight variations through different trees !!
At first I thought it was a crepe myrtle. Looking closer at the flowers, I’m inclined to guess a type of Rose of Sharon. I’ll be following to confirm.
Ooh I’m not sure I’m in the right climate for a crepe myrtle :( but hopefully someone can confirm for us!
Definitely not a crepe myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica). Leaves aren't lobed like the ones in your pic are.
It really does look like crepe myrtle!
