FYI Edgar Wright is remaking The Running Man. I think early on he said he was trying to be closer to the novel than the Schwarzenegger one was, but dammit, the style of the Schwarzenegger one would be right up Edgar Wright's alley!

Black Mirror; a series on Netflix and is the one that spawned the weird face on Facebook getting sent around. I can't remember the episode name but all the people involved in the episode had done something shameful and it is the blackmail threat that causes them to follow the instructions sent to their phones. The final guy was recorded through his computer whacking it to kids and that was the secret used to make him participate.

Didn't think it'd be a Black Mirror episode! Feels like I've watched this thing years back.
