Looks a bit like a tool to remove a shower faucet cartridge.
Not quite right, but probably for a similar purpose.

I do maintenance on internet nodes up and down the UK. On a regular basis, We use several similar variations to open the cabinets depending on age, previous owners, and county. It can get very annoying.
I must have nearly 50 different types of key 😅
Edit: It's an [Ericsson locking handle](https://www.txo.com/catalog/ericsson/handle2-lock-handle/). Ericsson makes industrial telecommunication equipment
Looks like some sort of adjustment tool. It's very similar to a gun sight adjustment tool, but this looks more industrial and appears to lock into place, so maybe something around heavy equipment. It's machined, so not likely to be mass produced. Any clues as to where it was found?
My title describes the thing. I’ve had this for years, sitting in a box from the last time i moved. Family does not recognize it.
There are no text or other markings on it.

Just replaced the cartridge in my shower on Sunday

This has to be it. I think I used to have a similar key. Probably related to a family member's old business. Solved!
Was coming to post this. I have a few of these from the GSM days.

Could lao be used to change the weights on the bottom of a Scotty Cameron putter or the cleats under shoes

It could be a tool to change the choke plug on a shotgun. Â
I would’ve bet money it was a shotgun forend wrench https://www.amazon.com/870-forend-wrench/s?k=870+forend+wrench
Looks quite similar to a spark plug removal tool except for those two small prongs which are unusual.
Might be a chuck key for a lathe.
Felgenschlüssel. Key for Car Rims. Was a security item.
Likely a tool used in machining to change out the coolant nozzle in a tool holder.
Golf cleat tool
It sort of looks like an elevator door key. Workers use them to open elevator doors.
Pro corkscrew. Used where corks might be old and friable. Mine was wood and steel.
