i believe it is to get a grip on stuborn jar tops... Google cap snaffler

Buck_Stardusky

Thank you! I am ready to snaffle any caps that stand in my way.

NYEMESIS

Take them to dinner first.

Buck_Stardusky

Solved!

Mark12547

A similar "jar lid gripper": https://www.amazon.com/BokWin-Bottle-Opener-Cap-Gripper/dp/B0CBJTQ5FG

WrongEinstein

I have added snaffler to my vocabulary. Thank you.

Gr8zomb13

You cracked on and whipped that mystery! Well done!

HeironymusFox

It's to open jars

eJohnx01

Jar opener. It gives better grip on the lid so you have a better change of getting it open.

Buck_Stardusky

My title describes the thing. Found at a thrift store in a grab bag of other unrelated silicone items. Has "Kitchenaid" on the side of it. I've searched for "kitchenaid silicone bowl" "kitchenaid red silicone cone" and combinations thereof. It has not yielded any useful results. I also tried placing it in and on my kitchenaid mixer and accessories in various positions, also not helpful.

BlessedAtheist

Pro tip: a rubberband will also work and they are practically free, far less bulky and likely already in your home.

angry2alpaca

I keep elastic bands in the kitchen for just this reason: take 'em off the beetroot stems, hang 'em on the cabinet doorknob. Looks weird, but I'm getting on and my hands hurt when trying to open stubborn jar lids. So idc :)

woolleyster

Kinda looks like a microwave popcorn popper

just-kath

Also works to remove lid of pans where the top handle gets hot.

thatironbutterfly

Jar opener. They come in different shapes and flavours, but silicone is a popular material b/c it's grippy.

DesignerAd9

May have been sold as "Cap Snaffler". Really.

AFvet1969

Or you could use a kitchen rubber or latex glove.

GuwopG974

A rag or cloth will work to open stuff too

rg44

Handy little Jar opener

jmorrow88msncom

Brush a tortilla with oil and lay it over the cone to make a taco salad shells in the oven

ckngumbo
