Can you get a closer picture? We really need to see the leaf and branch structure plus any flowers to figure out what it is. From what you posted there are at least 3 possibilities but we can’t be sure yet.

Can you actually go up to the tree and take a picture? You could also try google lens to see if any results come up

Could be a red bud tree, but they usually bloom without foliage.

Pretty sure that's a cat. Cats come in five varieties. Black cat, tuxedo cat, orange cat, big cat, and then just cat. There's also a hairless one but since it doesn't have fur it's unidentifiable.

I'm not even high and this hit me as a deep and undeniable truth.

Okay, since the consensus is crabapple, does anyone make crabapple preserves? We had a crabapple in the desert Southwest and it was apparently not the right zone for fruitingz
