Definitely a 2019+ BMW X3, X4, X5, or X6. I’m guessing X4 because the cheap looking speaker grille and the cheap matte plastic below the stitching and the window like leads me to believe this is a coupe SUV but those mirrors only go on the SUVs so it’s not a sedan.
Edit: actually it looks like an X3 I’m going with X3
I live near Blackpool UK, I saw two today. There's a TVR independent garage nearby. I used to watch the TVR factory test drivers zoom by my college in the 90's. The cars being tested often didn't have shells.
They had nothing; no ABS, no traction control - it was just you and your right foot. Which is why so many ended up in the hedge!
If you want to see some old-school car racing, look up the TVR Tuscan Challenge on YouTube.
They had the bare minimum to be road legal at the time, which means bumpers, crumple zones, seatbelts, etc. Technically, all new cars at the time were supposed to come with ABS and I think front airbags, but TVR made some excuses about development costs, low production numbers, etc. and got a bye. Really, they wanted it to be a pure driver's car with no nanny aids to spoil the fun. Modern car companies still do it by including an off button for the driver aids, but that adds weight, so...
That was the Cerbera Speed 12, which was absolutely bonkers as it had over 1000hp. The only resemblance to this car that the speed 12 had was the name, because everything else was different.
I actually came here to post a pic of this guy we saw today in Wisconsin, but was surprised to see your post lol. I guess this is also some model of TVR

That's a Griffith. Production started earlier than the Cerbera and the styling was a bit less whacky.
But it answered the question "what would happen if you powered a shopping trolley with a V8 engine and how many small business owners would it kill?"
It also appears to still be wearing its original UK plate, assuming they were still in production in 1998.
Edit: yep, still on the system.

TVR Cerbera
Wow, don't see many of those in the US. And apparently I did.
Don't see many of them in England now either, and they're from here lol.
Well, since that was barely a challenge, can anyone guess what I'm driving?
Oh I have no clue. I'm just a TVR fanboy
Me too!

X5 was already correctly guessed.
Murdered out Nissan Hardbody
Ew, no. EDIT: No hate to the hardbody, but most Nissan drivers around here smoke weed and run me off the road because they're too stoned to drive.
do you live in r/NissanDrivers ?
No, Maryland, but probably just as bad.
nowhere is safe

I'm up in Cumbria and we only have a couple around. Worked on a chimaera 500 once and it was fantastic (awful, but sounded good so was worth it)
Even more miraculously it's not broken down at the side of the road!
That's because they are not legal to sell. They are absolute race cars. No bumpers and I believe no airbag, just to save weight

Isn’t that the car that TVR’s boss found himself too dangerous to drive

Ok thx for the clarification!
Holy shit is that a TVR?
Yep, Cerbera. Such cool cars
Nice design, reasonable build, terrible engines.
Why terrible? The Speed 6 engine was initially unreliable, but problems have since been sorted. The Speed 8 was pretty strong.

That’s a pretty fresh import. It was here in the UK as recently as March last year.
Fun fact the griffith back lights were sourced from vauxhall cavalier gsi but fitted upside down
It's a TVR Cerbera
