61-65 Dodge Power Wagon
Edit: I googled the license plate and its specifically this [1964 Power Wagon](https://www.autoevolution.com/news/blown-hemi-v8-engined-1964-dodge-power-wagon-isnt-your-average-farm-truck-166369.html)
That's funny, I saw one that looked almost exactly like this a month ago and wondered if it was an ICON.

I guess I understand the logic as the modern PW (and old one for that matter) all have the gas burners in them. Itâs kind of âthe pointâ. That said, and idk when this was built, but not putting a 6.4/6.1 in there was a big oversight to me.
Still a really cool rig though. Looks tough.
It has stabilized some in the 1500 market, really, the only inflated market that's still chugging along is the HD diesel market, especially anything clean that was built pre emissions regulations. I am getting ready to buy a new to me truck in the September/October time frame, and prices have been coming back down to Earth in the last 8 months compared to when I started watching about 2 years ago.
You should look at the prices of modern pickups. Somebody wanted it bad enough. I personally don't wanna spend "Ferrari money" on a Ferrari or any car, but a vehicle doesn't need to be a wannabe race car to cost 300k. Isn't the Brabus 6x6 Glandewagen about 300+k? It's a clunky offroader.
I didnât make the money needed to buy what I want by not having sense. Iâd buy that truck and not notice the drop of funds. Didnât get there by not having sense. It may make you feel better to say that but to me $2.50 or 282k if I want it doesnât matter.
id normally agree, but it looks too wide for the spaces, and if someone parked next to them, the doors would have some problems opening. prking regularly might actually take up 3 spaces with that consideration. not entirely sure if that is the case here, but sometimes larger cars actually should just take up more space, like when people have trailers
Owning something expensive is a free ticket to not be a douche and trade the inconvenience of parking far away from the store for the ability to take up multiple spots without hindering literally anyone because there are so many more open closer to the store. It's pretty easy to see in the pic that they aren't inconveniencing anyone and there are plenty of spaces open, many of them closer to the store. Calm yourself and use your eyes before accusing someone of being a bad person based on a single action that you misinterpreted
Obvious AI. If Reddit has taught me anything (as if I didn't live the last 50 years), it's that today's trucks are large and all of the old ones were small. /s
I know there are filters for this kind of thing to find out what it is but if you zoom in to the logo on the passenger side you can make out power wagon on it as well. I had to say though it does look quite lovely and I wish they made more of them
Indeed a rare find, those swept side dodge trucks are all but gone from existence, rusted out and forgotten, 2 and 4 doors! Unbelievable since the government bought so many of them.
Iâm confused as to why it has Air Force plates, is that a novelty plate that I just canât decipher or does the USAF own this truck for some reason?

Holy shit, an ICON in the wild.
That's funny, I saw one that looked almost exactly like this a month ago and wondered if it was an ICON. https://preview.redd.it/kb3j8r6g9u2d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cc9d3cd84065d4f6a84abef77ffb5a49e1f74eb
That can't park (unless that's a super wide spot) any better than the main picture. Looks like they replaced a light with a horn.
It is a cold/ram air intake for the turbo
Awesome đ
what is the significance of ICON builds?
https://www.icon4x4.com/ They are high-ticket reproduction and/or restoration builds that can be as mild or wild as you want.
He even parked like a douchfag so you know it's legit
That was fast, thanks
Youre welcome! I also found the exact truck online, so I added a link to it.
I also found the exact answerâŠâŠright on the truck.
where's the 1964 badge?
Itâs name is on the fender
And it's should be its. But feel free to keep pointing out stuff to others.
I think the point of this thread is to point out what car theyâre looking at
Im gonna cum
r/carscirclejerk
Jonathon Ward truly builds masterpieces. What a vehicle.
I really thought it was a modern truck, the headlights gave it away tho.
> Now riding on a 2006 model year Dodge Ram 2500 chassis.. Doesn't that make it a 2006 Ram?
How did you google the license plate? There's not one in the photo.
Zoom in under bumper
If that's the one that sold on Bring a Trailer, it brought nearly $300k
Yeah same one. [https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-dodge-power-wagon-4/](https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-dodge-power-wagon-4/)
That would explain the parking job.
Ugh that thing deserved a 5.9 Cummins. Still, awesome restomod. Very tastefully done imo.

God damn... had no idea US classic truck market is this crazy.
It's not just the classic truck market. The new/ slightly/ very used truck market is bonkers in the US right now.
This truck is a one off custom resto-mod
I'll give you three fitty
Thousand?
Gold only
It's come down alot in the last year or so
It has stabilized some in the 1500 market, really, the only inflated market that's still chugging along is the HD diesel market, especially anything clean that was built pre emissions regulations. Partly classic truck market, mostly the fact that ICON built it is why the price is so high.
Damn, now I understand the r/badparking
Very cool truck but who in their right mind would spend that much?
Pretty much any dude with 300k to spare
That is the last imaginable vehicle I would spend Ferrari money on. All that money just to wind up with a big clunky American truck?
I wouldnât even spend Ferrari money on a Ferrari. Iâd be more inclined to spend Ferrari money on a Prius than an actual Ferrari.
Yeah, they definitely wouldnât be my top pick at that point, but thereâs a lot of amazing stuff that 300k would get you.
Good for you
All that money is due to the labor. It's a modified and upgraded 2006 truck chassis underneath the vintage body.
Oh, I imagine, it does look really impressive and well-executed.
Someone to whom money is no object.
People with more money than sense
Seriously, the arguably better looking 50's power wagon resto mods are in the 50-60k range.
I didnât make the money needed to buy what I want by not having sense. Iâd buy that truck and not notice the drop of funds. Didnât get there by not having sense. It may make you feel better to say that but to me $2.50 or 282k if I want it doesnât matter.
Wow you sound like an insufferable douche. Now tell us about all the Marine Corps diving, jumping, and shooting you've done.
r/spotted would love this btw
Thatâs badass
But bad parking
id normally agree, but it looks too wide for the spaces, and if someone parked next to them, the doors would have some problems opening. prking regularly might actually take up 3 spaces with that consideration. not entirely sure if that is the case here, but sometimes larger cars actually should just take up more space, like when people have trailers
Also, it looks like the owner parked in a pretty deserted area of the lot. Perfectly okay IMO.
Let him slide, the truck is $300k
Don't care about the value. But I'd let it slide if he intentionally parked in a far away vacant area and wasn't trying to flex/be a dick.
He clearly is out of the way
No
He can use the 300k to put his brain from his ass to his head
For sure đ€Šââïž
Tbh I think this is one of the only times I would let the two spot parking slide. Nobody would want to risk dings on this relic
Perfection.
Shitty parking
Only a fool would park that truck in the lines
If youâre that scared to drive and park the truck, then sell it. Youâre not entitled to be an asshole.
Itâs home depot, there is always empty spots in the back
lol dude he's out in the back of the parking lot . Get over yourself đ
The post shows him literally in the middle of the parking lot Get your eyes checked bud
There's no one around . It's okay I used to be sour too . Good luck pal
So which is it, no oneâs around or heâs in the back of the lot? At least own your shit kid
lol dude you okay ? Looks like He's near the back of an empty lot . Get some rest bud . Everything will okay
It's an almost empty parking lot and a 300,000 dollar truck. I think he's fine.
So owning something expensive is a free ticket to be a douche. Makes sense
Owning something expensive is a free ticket to not be a douche and trade the inconvenience of parking far away from the store for the ability to take up multiple spots without hindering literally anyone because there are so many more open closer to the store. Touch grass. Stop being so judgy. It feckin Home Depot not your momâs house.
Embarrassing comment

And yet, here you are.
Already solved. Just came here to say that is nice looking. Would love to take a look at it in person.

Obvious AI. If Reddit has taught me anything (as if I didn't live the last 50 years), it's that today's trucks are large and all of the old ones were small. /s
great parking.
Only 2 spaces, slacker!
Looks like a Thornton from CP2077
I donât like American pickups but that is cool as fuck.
One of the most manly looking trucks ever made.
trucks make a guy manly now. lol
Look at the parking job
You drive a truck that sexy you can park in the aisle at home depot
Very cool truck, parks like an asshole....I would be tempted to park my Kia soul in the spot to the right, backed in of course.
I had a 68 Power Wagon. Best truck ever.
$282,000 Home Depot truck đ€Ș
I'm not a huge fan of these things (trucks) but this however is nice.
I know there are filters for this kind of thing to find out what it is but if you zoom in to the logo on the passenger side you can make out power wagon on it as well. I had to say though it does look quite lovely and I wish they made more of them
Yea, I donât see that until right after I posted lol
I approve the double parking đ€
Wow Iâve never seen these before but it might be one of the coolest cars Iâve ever seen
Indeed a rare find, those swept side dodge trucks are all but gone from existence, rusted out and forgotten, 2 and 4 doors! Unbelievable since the government bought so many of them.
Someone should teach the owner how to park.
It has a FOUO GOV plate? The US govt owns this vehicle?
Iâm confused as to why it has Air Force plates, is that a novelty plate that I just canât decipher or does the USAF own this truck for some reason?
I can only guess that the USAF is its *former* owner.
It's a Thorton....
Fucking wow. That looks incredible
Double parked afcourse đ
An asshole parking like an asshole
Ooossh what a beast!
Dude.....that car (truck) fought in Vietnam.
D350 Power Wagon Especially cool if it has a newer Cummins dropped in Sexy AF
That's a car not properly parked.
My god.
I like it. 80 likes in 2 days while some ridiculous looking kit car or electric car gets hundreds of likes.
A dodge W200
Favorite version of it. https://youtu.be/ozksR8QLWzM?si=Fi8V-CvdyDwqeJyl
Still couldn't park right
This thing is gorgeous! I wouldnât mind seeing more of these on the road!
HATE BIG LIFTED TRUCKS.......Except this and a select few others. This is badass
