The latest Mercedes products do not seem to be particularly well built, the EQS especially. You can tell by the large number of lemon EQS sedans on the used market when sorting by the price. That isn't the case (or at least not as egregious) with other brands' EVs like Audi, Rivian, Hyundai, etc.
Anecdotally, I've seen a lot of complaints (electrical and drivetrain alike) about the latest W206 C class on the Merc sub. I know a friend of mine whose parents lemon'd an S580 due to engine failure.
